Mostly at the hospital, I suspect. Alan will take the car to Crawley, and may be gone all day.

Some days I need to remind myself to look for the bright side to any situation. If I forget I have friends from across the ocean to remind me. 🎅

Nice to have parents that do actually put their children first. xx

Those two young parents amaze me. On Thursday she cleaned his home and did his grocery shopping.
Flo laughs at my fun facts, but she remembers things I taught her when she was 5. How many bones does a giraffe have in it's neck? How many eggs does a sea turtle lay? Many people do not know, but Jason knows and remembers what Ggma tells him.

Good morning all from a sunny Norfolk hopefully it will last the day unlike yesterday when it started raining dinner time and continued for the rest of the day. Bit late this morning, been making another sausage casserole as the last one was consigned to the bin, it was so hot with chilli I'm sure they forgot to put the meat in and doubled the chilli. DH manfully got through most of his I gave up after 3 pieces but no way was he going to eat it the second day. No chilli in sight today. Nothing else planned for the day, our new oil tank is coming on Monday so that's something to look forward to Also put in a big order for meat from a farm shop we used to go to in the Lake District, including some wild boar, that's due next Friday, must sort my freezer out so it can all fit in. Have a great weekend. xx

Good to cross another thing off your to do list. Having the oil tank ready for the winter weather that is a long way off will be a good thing.

Good morning from sunny Surrey. After all the rain yesterday the garden looks like it's on steroids. Visited a friend's yesterday to look at her garden, it is magnificent. So many exotic plants

Gardening day today.

Happy Saturday everyone and stay safe xxx

A garden is a wonderful thing. You can enjoy it while you work on it and everyone can enjoy it after all your work.

I find I use my right hand for many things but my left for doing others, so not strictly ambidextrous, I just share out the chores evenly!! xxxx

As a lefty from many years ago I also am ambidextrous. There were no items items made to accommodate being left handed. I found it amazing to actually get a left handed scissors that worked. Just recently I found measuring cups that have u.s. measurements on front and back. Older cups have the metric measurements showing when held in right hand. Crazy how convenient that is for me.

Good afternoon from a bright and sunny London, 24'C here today!!

Yesterday's afternoon tea jaunt to London was not quite the success I had been hoping for, terrible weather, rained hard all the time I was outside!! The building we were in, the Royal Exchange, is a fabulous old building which used to be our Stock exchange, back in the day. They have used what used to be the bidding 'floor' as a beautiful, giant eating area. For those that don't know, Fortnum & Mason is a top of the tree purveyor of food and they have a few very spectacular shops selling just about everything consumable. The tea did not live up to expectations, dry scones, cool weak tea and our included Champagne turned out to be about an inch in the bottom of the glass!! However, it was nice to be out with DD and catch up on the chat! Some pics below, not mine!!

Having a restful day today, maybe a bit of sewing, as the lady who organises the charity knitting, has asked for drawstring bags for children in Ghana. They fill them with toiletries, pencils, crayons and other desirables and send them out to them.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxx

The important question is what did you wear? How did your shoes hold up?
It is great that regardless of the weather and food you had a nice visit with your daughter.

I got my appointment with Ear, Nose and Throat. Finally. Unfortunately it is on 21st, which is Hubby's birthday, and he is due in Crawley that day at an inquest. Everything is happening that day, plus it MAY be the day England re-opens.

Glad you got an appointment. Wonder why appointments always fall on the same day when the other days of the week are appointment free.

Well, I wore the dress and tights/pantyhose, the only pair I have, and they were not very good at staying up and kept wrinkling round my ankles, not a pretty sight!!! The shoes, however, stood up to the test pretty well, they got a bit rain-spotted but dried very quickly, back to their pristine state!!! My DD, usually the glamourous one, wore a lovely long summery dress with knee high boots that have a very high heel and she had quite a walk from the station!! She also brought a raincoat because she isn't as daft as her mum, who just had a linen jacket!!! Yes, it was lovely to see her, in spite of our different opinions about stuff, she is my very best friend!!! xxxx

It's been a beautiful day again, with a slight breeze. And I've had a pleasent day today. The lady who has a domestic cleaning business, came out to see me today and introduced me to the lady who will be cleaning for me. I would say she was in her 20s (the cleaning lady). We all had a nice talk and it's all working out that I am no worse off price wise than I was with Donna, but I'm hoping they'll be a lot better. They said when they are due to come in, if I text them they will bring me milk, or a loaf of bread in if I'm short. That was kind. The firm has been going for 20yrs. They've been to Whitby this morning and they said it was packed out....very little social distancing.

I had a salad for my lunch, very enjoyable, and my weekly watts app video with Josephine. These have been such a lifeline on lonely days through this pandemic. She is looking well and her hair is very nice. She has it short and bouncy, looks good.

So...I'm pleased with today...all in all. Hope you all have a good one too......love yawl. Stay safe
