Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:11 am EDT and 5'C (41'F). It's raining again and there will be showers this afternoon.
I get my jab on Monday, if they don't cancel because of lack of vaccine. My BIL and sister also have appointments. My sister in Campbellford, has her appointment at the same place as me, just she is in the morning and I am in the afternoon. My sister-in-law had her shot through work as she is a director for food services in a long-term care residence. My brother thought he didn't need the shot because his wife was protected and he was working from home. My mother yelled at him over the phone.
Our new covid number is 4736. Positivity rate is 8%. We have 9 new cases in this area. The long-term care facilities are crying foul as nurses are being pulled from the long-term care facilites to work in the hospitals. The hospitals are now saying that some hospitals in Toronto will only be caring for and taking COVID patients as the numbers continue to rise, but the number of staff does not. One place a couple hours north of Toronto has ordered everyone off the streets. No one is allowed to leave their homes for any reason. Their numbers soared because of teenage "bush parties" where they spread COVID among themselves then brought it home to their families. More restrictions are coming for the entire province either this afternoon or Monday.
This province managed to vaccinate almost 100K people yesterday. None in this area as our vaccine clinics haven't been open since Monday. The premier was complaining because the health units have booked appointments for 3 times the amount of vaccine that we have.
I worked on my very heavy Wellerman shawl last night. I'm on the 4th of 5 charts. I have to figure out a way to block this thing when it is done.

We ordered pizza and a pasta dinner and I asked the store to phone and leave it on the chair by the door. My friend phoned and I forgot I’d told him to call when he left the food so I thought it was a scam call which I get all day long. Suddenly I remembered the food and got off the phone. What I also didn’t remember was that it had been raining and hadn’t stopped. The bag holding the dinner was soaked but the food was in plastic containers. The pizza box was dripping but the bag had protected the pizza. All was edible but cold. That on top of not getting my heart test because salt bloated me. My patience is wearing thin and I can’t knit to calm me. Have I complained enough. I could tell you how the cat barfed at 2 am.

Do you have some really big bulky yarn. You could try arm-knitting while you are waiting to heal.
Pizza's heat well in the oven, even if stone cold. (We once had a pizza delivery guy fight through the drifts at our old house to deliver a stone cold pizza. It was revived in the oven quite nicely.)
I woke up to a cat poo in my bed. Apparently the turd was stuck to Bella-kitty's bottom when she jumped onto my bed. I'm just thankful I didn't roll onto it and really make a mess.
Oh, and DD continued her bout of food poisoning by communing with the porcelain bowl at 3 or 4 in the morning. She doesn't do anything quietly. (DD had food poisoning earlier this week and has had problems with her stomach almost every night this week.)
