I can remember seeing fireflies in the yard at night. I haven't seen a firefly in years despite the open field behind us. We usually have lots of crickets here but not much grasshoppers. We used to have chorus frogs in the lick pond across the road north of us, but they filled that pond in. Now it only has water in it for a couple of days after a storm.

It's cold here today. I've been knitting mitred squares, June's advice about slipping the first stitch really helps. I've normally avoided patterns that ask for stitches to be picked up...thanks June

Yep, minimum Ouch!! I am now waiting my 15 minutes recovery time but there's no tea or coffee this time, shame!! Trains aren't going where they should be so I may have to get home via a convoluted route! Xxxx
