One of the few I consider "art"! Thank you.
What were your thoughts on this free class? I watched and picked up some useful info, but unfortunately limited only to the 1st two sessions each day. Perhaps the most informative item for me was the amount of time for creating a shot, but why was I surprised? Duh.
What am I missing? I have always tried to avoid the "milky" water pictures. My preference I guess, but maybe I am missing something in my views. I always try to capture the action of the water, kinetic taste versus a passive view.
I have the camera but I bought with the telephot kit. I love the camera and the autofocus, as my eyes don't discern as in my younger days. My wife grumbled when I bought it, after a Hawaii trip she is all smiles with the camera results
They both do their best to serve you. Adorama corrected a billing problem 3 months later for me. High praise here.
It was at the end of November, and whether they allow or disallow a response should have been given.
Thank you and I just sent an email to Helen .
Same thing happened to me at Adorama. Bought the Sony A77 $200 instant rebate with the assuarance the rebate would end on the 2nd of the next month. Lo and behold, it did and was replaced with a $300 rebate. I quizzed Adorama about an adjustment and got a reply asking for purchase information and since then the silence has been deafening.

Being cheap by nature and my wife, I got the Pyle PRJTPS25 from Amazon for a whole $18. Knowing that a tripod gets in the way when traveling I opted for cheap and light. I mounted my A7 and 55-300mm lens and it worked fine.
Creativity is telling a story through your camera and eyes. If you have something to say and know how to shoot it, it will come out. And it follows, if you are a technically competent musician with no expression, a technically competent artist with no feeling for the scene, you will not get your message across. We all have to learn how to express our emotions and thoughts.
And while you all carp about conservative-liberal crap, the corporations are buying away our democracy and parties mean nothing. Be ready to bow down to the corp of your choice....
No photographer worth their salt is satisfied with the pictures they shoot and their best picture is the one they'll shoot next. We all tend to blame our equipment for not achieving what we want in a photo when in fact it's the photographer 99.9% of the time who failed to make the correct settings or not using a tripod when they should have that caused the mistakes in the photograph. I hope this makes sense to you.[/quote]
But I need something to blame it on to justify more "toys"!
I recently purchased the A77, little brother to the A99. THis after years using the A100, not realizing there were better cameras! I could export all of my Minolta Maxxum lenses to Sony which made my cheap side happy.
There are so many functions that it will take years to learn, but Sony has been good to me.
music analogy is true. however, I can do more with my piano at home...quicker action, better bass and treble sound, etc.....than the one I play for church. Same with cameras, a better camera will do more for you....if you will only practice and use it.
Thank you. It is my backyard! Sun was moving fast so opened the bathroom window and shot it! Two minutes later it was gone.
Do not call it bad grammer, it is writing in the local vernacular. I gots to lik what their saying, not how they says it.
