Thanks for posting the link. I checked all of my EN-EL 15 batteries and they are fine.

I recently had the card reader on my D700 repaired by United Camera and was very pleased with their service. My camera was repaired and back in my hands in less than a week after I shipped it to them.

Last week, something went wrong with the card reader on my Nikon D700. I tried three different CF cards and received the same error each time. The same cards worked fine in my D200. I did a search and read many positive comments online regarding United Camera in Elk Grove Village, IL. I contacted them and they sent a box and pre-paid shipping label. I sent the camera to them last Friday. They received it on Monday and had it repaired on Wednesday. I received the camera on Thursday... less than a week after I sent it to them. I want to let everyone know how satisfied I am with their service and would recommend them to anyone that may need to have their cameras repaired.

Their address is: http://www.unitedcamera.com/about/contact.aspx

Do you? Must have a little **** to try to bring someone else down when they're sharing their interest. Perfectly legal and Constitutionally protected interests here in the USA, by the way.

And that is a nice photograph. It would make a nice advertising image if the brand name stuff was there.

Definitely! Except for those times when it cannot read any channels, and I have to turn off, unplug, wait, replug, turn on - all in the correct order. The card adapter is often a problem.

Never had any problems with my TiVo. More reliable than any of the cable or satellite services I had over the years. You mention a card adapter. Do you use TiVo with a cable or satellite? Mine is made especially for OTA using an antenna. It has no adapters. Maybe that is why I don't have problems with it.

We went with Tivo Roamio and a antenna. The service is $15 a month, and it's the best DVR. You can also buy units with lifetime service. Cool search and scheduling options. In addition, we have Netflix streaming. We did also do Hulu for a while, but dropped it. Not enough content that wasn't also on Netflix or broadcast TV.

This is the same setup I have used for a year now. The TiVo is great. I use the antenna that's been on the top of the roof since I bought my house 31 years ago and the picture quality is better than cable or satellite. I'm about 40 miles NE of Detroit and I get more channels than I need for free. I will sign up for Netflix for a month or two in a couple of weeks just to watch the new seasons of House of Cards and Bloodline and then go back to just my OTA choices.

I have always just formatted my cards after downloading them to the computer after each day. I don't bother erasing them, just format them. Some I've probably formatted
hundreds of times per year and never a failure.

I wait until the next time I'm ready to use my camera before I format my cards. That way there has been time for the photos copied from the card to my Mac to be backed up by Time Machine and Backblaze.

ddetloff stated the right way to do a MacOS upgrade. One added step is to do a TimeMachine backup before upgrading "just in case."

Oh yeah, don't forget Time Machine. I have that plus I Carbon Copy Clone my hard drives during the night and just before any major changes to the Mac. And just to be safe, Backblaze backups too. Can't have too many backups.

First I made sure all my applications had the latest updates. I then updated my Mac to Sierra the day after it was released. It was the smoothest update I ever did on my Mac and everything is running just fine. I can't say the same when I updated to Yosemite and El Capitan. Both of those updates need several re-installs. Most of the problems then involved constantly losing my wi-fi connection.

I have purchased both new and refurbished from Cameta and their service is great. Quick delivery and I like their warranty, although I never needed to use it.
