I kinda like this image, but may I make a couple suggestions?

I guess I'll assume that it is OK.

First, I know you took this image the way it is shown here, but I wonder what it would look like if you flipped it? It seems the water(or sand) is flowing right to left. What would it look like with the water(sand) going left to right? Let's remember the people read that way and our natural flow is the same.

Also, while I love the way the water breaks on the brick, but the back itself does not really stand out very much. Maybe a couple of adjustments with Saturation?

I have the Sigma version. I use would like to hear about your experience with the Tamron. I have heard the Tamron is better better at sports than the Sigma(the Tamron is a half stop faster). Plz keep me informed!

With either of the 24-105s, you will get a significantly better lens. I have an "L." It is my walk-around. Although it is significant cost, you can go to KEH.com https://www.keh.com//shop/catalogsearch/result/?q=canon+24-105, and get one used. Or go to BHPhoto. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/586286-USA/Canon_0344B002AA_EF_24_105mm_f_4L_IS.html and get one new. You may find the difference in lenses is worth it. You will loose some reach at both ends of the zoom, but the image quality is worth it. IMHO.

When I got mine, I went to a pawn shop and got it for $400. But I got real lucky and had the lens checked out at the local camera repair shop. An extra benefit to getting the "L" is if you decide to go with a FF camera this lens will work.

I bought a Canon PRO 100 PIXMA that blows every other printer out of the water. Prints up to 13x19 pictures for $400 (with a $250 rebate that means $150). Can't beat that.

Chefneil, have you seen info on the newest UHH forum, "Advice from the Pros" ? You might want to try posting your question and photos there, especially since several of the participants do studio work. Here's the home page:
