Let's be honest. Influence peddling is the name of the game in politics at all levels. Always has been and always will be. The Clinton's Royal Teflon coating may be starting to wear thin. We need 'The Donald' for POTUS and Judith Sheindlin for VP. It would be a helluva cut in pay but I believe they both have enough stashed away for their old age.

I agree with Sarge. The cop is a hero in my book and deserves a medal. Even though the felon may have been mentally ill and not in charge of his faculties at the time he was an immediate threat to anyone in the area. If the lawyer's mother happened to be driving by and was shot dead I believe her take on this would be different. He did the right thing. We could use a few more Robo-cops.

I'm against the death penalty not for altruistic reasons but because it cost the tax payers less to incarcerate. Also, living a miserable existence is better punishment than peace after death. Steve, when you refer to 'finding God' do you mean Allah as many of the convicts are Muslim.
