How's he anti Jew. Lol

You really should keep up on current events. Not knowing about a news story that has been in circulation for several days really hurts your street cred. lol

This is funny. You post an article about Trump and nazis while supporting an anti-Jewish president.

So as I scour the continent for a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM or a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens, I have noticed that pictures that are posted of these lenses the body can be white, or a tan/flesh color. Is there a significance in this color? if so please define the difference. Thanks in advance!

The original reason for white lenses was the use of flourite in the lens (http://cpn.canon-europe.com/content/education/infobank/lenses/fluorite_aspherical_and_ud_lenses.do) which is easily effected by heat. I would guess the slight changes of color have to do with the results of continuing research during the last 30 years.

When the 5dm3 came out it would not autofocus with the camera/lens/1.4 combination you have listed. Have you downloaded the camera firmware that lets this combination autofocus at f8? I have no way of knowing if that will use all 61 points.

Forgot to mention that this lens is parfocal
A great benefit for video. The ones you mentioned are not parfocal.

You might want to read this article about photo cameras and parafocal lenses.

I'm not sure I got this right: I put money in a bank and THE BANK CHARGES ME INTEREST just to keep it in their bank. Then someone writes an article on how this was a good idea ??

Actually, the bank pays you to use your credit card.

Actually, Nikon's D810 uses both CFast type 1.0 and SD cards - i.e. 1 of each with user choice as to which gets written to for what - e.g. primary to CFast with overflow to SD, etc. Problem is that they don't make clear that CFast type 2.0 won't work.

Adorama and B&H say the Nikon D810 comes with one CF slot and one SD slot. No mention of CFast.

Again, What's your point?

From your response, you must be very wealthy and/or have a guaranteed retirement. For normal people, it means they are getting ready to take another hit. What did the market do this week??

I use back button focus; but since I have a large extended family, I fairly often need to hand off to someone else who doesn't know how to to use it. I read recently (don't know where now) that one of the other buttons could be reassigned so that I could toggle between back button focus and traditional shutter button use. Any suggestions for doing this in a way that makes sense? I have read the manual, gone through the custom controls, but so far I haven't discovered how to do it. Am I missing something?

If you don't want to use full auto, set up how you want the camera to function on one of your c(x) modes on the mode dial. When you hand the camera off just switch the dial to that mode.

I updated to version 43.0 a few days ago. On reboot I got a message that Kaspersky Internet Security was not compatible with Firefox and had been disabled. Their only advise was to use a different browser. I took their advise.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I don't have my Canon software with me so I'll try CHG Canon's link to the DDP software or Rongnongno's "therapee" in order to reload something that can read CR2 files. Matanae (see you later).

You don't need to have any Canon software with you. Go to

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/eos_slr_camera_systems/eos_digital_slr_cameras/eos_rebel_t3i_body#DriversAndSoftware

and select DPP v 4.3.31. After that all you need is your camera's serial number.
