My Dad always told me is that most people do not understand the difference between "need" and "want" we all want a lot of things but we could be OK with the things we need.

You might try the Lume Cube setup. I bought the two cube light set and added the barn doors. Works well for most uses, but exceptionally well for macro/micro photos. Check their ads. IMO

I buy alkalines on eBay in bulk for 31 cents to 37 cents each. I buy 100 at a time and they are Duracell or Energizer with decent shelf life. Just make sure that your vendor has a 99% or higher score.

Take a look at the Leica Q2 best travel and take and shoot on walk around. Also you can look at the Tl2 or CL for interchangeable lens cameras. A very nice adapter will let you use all the M lenses and of course you can use all of the TL and S lenses without and adapter. Too many things to talk about in the Leica world. Look and learn and you can call Leica USA or B&H and talk to knowledgeable folks and ask your questions. IMO. Hank

A scam, I receive about 2 calls a week telling me that my Apple account has been hacked (they say fraudulent activity). I don't have an Apple account. I use no Apple products at all. But they keep calling. I just hang up.

I have owned a Leica Q2 for about 8 months and I think that for a street camera and other photo shoots there is no better camera. I shot Leica M3 back in my film days and I always found it to be as good and better than my own photo capabilities. The Q2 retails for $5000.00 a Leica flash small to be in keeping with the size of the Q2 runs about $518.00. There are any number of cases to fit the Q2 look on eBay, including one I found that is a full camera cover but can be opened halfway to shoot photos. As far as I am concerned No one beats Leica for color and picture quality I am moving to Leica equipment because of my age and the amount of camera and lens weight I can manage. I have been a Nikon shooter for 40 years and have accumulated a large amount of bodies, lenses, flashes, accessories, etc. When you pickup a Leica camera, it feels so comfortable and natural. The Q2 is a 47.3 full frame with a fixed Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH. This lens alone for other Leica bodies, would set you back about $4 to 5k. Go to B&H Photo and take a look at all of the features. When I bought mine I just went to B&H and it was in my hands within several days. It's become so popular because of all the great features that it is in short supply. Talk to one of their very knowledgeable photo guys and they can answer all of your questions. This has become very long, but I cannot say how versatile this camera is and a real joy to own. I am on a fixed income retired and have to be careful of monies. I did a lot of soul searching to spend this amount of money on a fixed lens camera. Best camera buy I have ever made! I hope this helps you, and I think your Dad would be overwhelmed with it. Good luck in your search. Hank

I had the same problem with my D700, D750, and P900. When you pickup a DSLR with a long lens 300, 400, or 600 and a battery box on the bottom, it is a handful. I had shot using a Leica M3 and the results were always astounding. (The camera did it's job, but I did not always do mine. I am just changing from my Nikons to a Leica based system. I have a X2 fixed lens, Q2 fixed lens, TL2 interchangeable lens, 2 CLs interchangeable lens. I have a couple of TL lenses, can use the Leica S lens and an adapter so I can use the Leica M series lenses. Yes, it is pricey but size and features are very acceptable and the results from any of these cameras are unsurpassed in quality and color. By carefully looking for available used camera and lenses and trying what looks best for your needs. Read reviews and look on the Leica web site. You might even be able to rent the model(s) you are interested in. If I can try to answer any questions you have please PM me. You can also go on YouTube and find many videos of Leica cameras and lenses. Take a look.

You apparently sold them something and they want to make a deposit directly to your account. I have sold them some items in the past and they payed directly into my bank account. Fast and safe transaction. MPB is a English Company with a location here in the US to deal in used equipment, both buy and selling. Good company. Usually the best offer I have received when selling camera gear I no longer use.

I still use my D700 even though I also have a D750 and a P900. Of all the ones I use I still like my D700 just as much and it has features not available on the others. Remote view and gps as add ons'. Available when needed but not taking up camera resources when not.
