Perseid Meteor Shower Disappointment

My son and his girlfriend were camping in the Colorado mountains last night south of Vail. They didn't know about the Perseids and when they got home this afternoon, they were raving about all the shooting starts with some of them being huge. I chuckled and told them the had timed it perfectly.

The airlines are NOT doing fine! The billions they got only covered about 2/3's of their operating costs to begin with and passenger numbers are at 5% of a year ago. They are losing millions every day. How do I know? My son is a furloughed United Pilot.

I have used it since last fall and have used it on PSD and camera raw files, as well as jpg. I typically use Topaz Denoise AI first. I've upgraded every time it's been available, and it's become much faster.

Times have changed... would you be a photographer 100 years ago?

I have a lot of photographs from the late 1800's of my family and their homes in Michigan. One is of my great grandparents dressed up in their grandparents clothes in front of their homestead log cabin. These were taken by family members in the 1800's. I have pictures of my grandmother at age 3; if alive, she'd be 126 now, so they were taken in 1894. My mother wasn't a "photographer," but always had a camera with her. So, I guess it's in the blood.

In the '50's a Chinese Fire drill was when a group of teenagers was in a car (usually in a small town), stopped in the middle of the street, and all got out and ran around the car and then hopped back in a drove off - fast. :)
