Watching a webinar last night held by Paul's Photo in Torrance, CA, it was alluded to that a new Nikon will be introduced soon. As always, until such time Nikon announces it, no one knows anything.
It was suggested that if you are interested in purchasing this potential new camera that you join NPS if you qualify. Those of you familiar with Nikon Professional Services (NPS), as soon as a new product is announced you can get on a delivery priority list being one of the first to receive the product.
I can vouch for that ordering the Z9 via NPS and getting it about a month after it was announced.
Guess we just wait and watch for now.

Nikon recently posted these on their website and shortly after removed them.

Is anyone else having trouble placing orders with B&H? For nearly a week I have been trying to enter a couple of orders with B&H but each and every time when I get to the "View Cart" screen, that image, an outline of a box, just rolls over and over endlessly and nothing else ever comes up. I have sent B&H three messages asking for their help in resolving this problem but they have done nothing whatsoever to help except to send useless boiler plate replies that solved nothing. I don't know if the problem lies with my computer or with B&H. During this period I placed two orders for lenses with another firm and both orders went through as smoothly as silk, no hitches at all. I have never had the least trouble in ordering from B&H in the past. If anyone else has had or is having this same problem with ordering from B&H and has had the problem resolved I would appreciate hearing from you. I have to ask B&H for e-mail replies as I have significant hearing loss and cannot use the phone.

I am a birder and because of this hobby I picked up on photography as I'm sure many do or have. I don't have major computer knowledge, I'm old school at 66 years but can get by (better than my husband). I have been printing some of my bird/landscape pictures and selling them at craft shows. I don't have the $$ to buy a professional photo editing program and I doubt I could teach myself, and don't have that much time, even if I did. So my question is, if anyone has tried, the free software (Gimp, Paint.net, etc.) available which would be the easiest to learn to do things like removing unwanted items, or changing a background. I search online but it is hard to tell without actually trying it, so I figured it would be more helpful to myself to ask experts. I like asking experienced people as I find you usually can learn just as much if not more. I don't really post alot here but I do read alot of the info everyone shares, and I appreciate it all. Just for an example the photo here I would like to remove the chain. TIA

One of the easiest and very powerful photo editing software packages out there would be PaintShop Pro 2023. Learning curve is not too steep. At $79, it's not free. They do offer a free trial.
If you shoot RAW, darktable and GIMP integrate, if you're looking for free, but, the learning curve is fairly steep. There are excellent tutorials on YouTube that start from the basics through advanced that'll get you up and editing quickly.

An interesting perspective. This will really add fuel to the conversation about the future of Cameras.

Sure, smartphones out sell cameras. It now is almost a necessity. Cameras on smartphones are primarily used for snapshots.
Smartphones do possess abilities to create artistic shots, but truly are short on what a dedicated camera can produce.
I can't imagine replacing my camera with a smartphone, although I do use it occasionally for snaps when my camera is not handy.
There are things that I just can't do with my smartphone that I can do with my camera.

Comments on Flat Head Tilt Ball Head for a tripod. Will it hold a 3 lb camera and lens?? Thanks in advance for your comments.
This might be something that you are looking for. Ball head mount with (removable) handle. I have one, don't let the price throw you. It's inexpensive, not cheap. I was quite impressed with the quality.

On Linux, I use the Bash command cp, to copy and rename in one action.
Some system BIOS settings will allow you to adjust the video memory, shared from the system memory.
Try this first, it may correct all the problems. (Check for updates afterwards)

The app will show the difference in DOF with different sensor sizes. I meant to include that in my post, too late to edit.
Get the DOF Calculator app. (Android)
DOF Calculator for PRO photographers with Quick, Manual, Reverse & Aperture Mode
Depth of Field Calculator for Photographers. Calculates Hyperfocal Distance, Near Focus Limit, Far Focus limit, and Depth of Field (DOF).
Has option to select teleconverters, automatically corrects focal length and apertures.
Also supports Custom 1 and Custom 2, user editable custom settings for quick retrieval, ideal for multiple camera setup.
Great camera.
Bought my first one in 1977, and a second (Sears K1000) in 1985.
I wish I had never sold them.
Inexpensive fully manual body (with light meter), but spent small fortune on lenes and accessories.
