Here's the backstory on why I wonder if any of you have all the newer magic-gee-whiz app stuff that does wonders with crummy photos.

I took this photo of my high school friends late in 1965 with one of those little tin "Hit" cameras with tiny spools of 16mm film. I processed it myself. I carried the photo in my wallet while in the Army from 1966-1969 and after in college. The tall guy, Otis, died at 21 from the flu, just after we had gotten together for New Year's Eve. He had serious egg allergies. The guy with the glasses, Henry, was my pal since 6th grade. He's gone too, in his 40's. Cheri, on the left were friends and later dated, but went our ways while was in the Army. Oddly she also got into broadcasting and we almost crossed paths in Texas. She wrote to me once in a while and then it just stopped. Early onset Alzheimer's. Gone at 67 after a tough decline. [The other young lady was in a class after us.] I have better photos of these people, but this one has a special meaning of happy days together.
If one of you wants to take a shot at it, I'd be curious to see what you come up with. If not, at least you got to see a real photo taken with one of those cheap little cameras. Thanks!

Radio John I tried to see if using some of Topaz products might help, Like GigaPixel and Sharpen but mostly just working slowly on individual pixel replacement... I can't see much difference than what has been already been submitted Bogo

Steven G That is excellent advice on waiting for the bugs to be cleared. Someting that by now. I should have heeded myself

I installed Topaz Sharpen AI 3.0 on my MacBook Pro yesterday. I restarted my computer. What happened next is discouraging. Any photo that I tried to use on Sharpen crashed!!

Here's a suggestion that might be helpful. If you transform picture No.1 the city, to the same pixel size as picture No 2 the sky...No 2 should fit nicely. Yes, you would lose some pixel density in the final picture.

Like you, I was very satisfied with Remask & Remask5, but found MaskAI not at all easier to use than the original. My trial version was clunky and seemed to take longer. I also had to go through an extra step
as MaskAI came up blue and not green or red. Even so, I didn't see any appreciable improvement in the results or ease of use.

However, others on this board have found a different result.

Several years ago I became interested in Topaz Products and bought several to use with PSE 15.
Prior to Studio 1 & 2 they all worked well, slotting nicely into PSE 15's Filter. I was especially pleased
with Remask 5. Later, I downloaded Studios 1, then 2 and found that I could no longer use ReMask5
Remask5 was flat out not working. I wrote to Topaz and got a note back that they were no longer
supporting Remask5 but with an additional hefty payment, I could buy MaskAI that they claimed was even better! At this point I moved to PSE 2020 and thought I'd give the MaskAI a try. It turned out to be ,for me
a stand-alone App and would not drop into PSE's filter drop-down menu (Nor would any of my other Topaz Apps) MaskAI, I found, was cumbersome, and buggy and not easy to use compared to Remask5. I did not buy the new MaskAI

Remask originally was not an inexpensive App, I have no idea why it should stop working both in PSE15 and 2020.. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Another thought,
I have and feel very comfortable with PSE 15. However, I am now forced to go to 2020 by the nature of my using a Mac. If I understand correctly, any app using 32 Bits will no longer be welcomed in the Apple World.

If I had my druthers, I would stay with '15' But on the other hand, from what I read here, 2020 is not so very different; which means to me that upgrading should not have a steep learning curve.

I am thankful for small favors
