I am planning to buy a Nikon D6. Is there any rumors floating around about a Nikon D7 being announced in the next 7 or more months? The last time I purchased a Nikon D4s, the D5 came out a couple weeks after I received my D4s.

I have a D6 and can say that it is an awesome camera and I have not even come close to finding out what all it can do. Even if there is a Z9 in my future I will keep my D6.

Have any of you shooting with Nikons used FoCal software to calibrate your lenses?

Yes I have used it with my D750, D850, Z7 and all my lenses and it works very good. There is also a new update that includes the D6 if that is useful.

great pick up. That is so weird. When I was checking things out I had not extended the lens. I wonder why that happens?

Probably because they don't want lens elements crashing into something, just my guess though.

I purchased my Camera through Tri State and it came with a US warranty. As far as the camera goes I can't find any difference than any other D780.

I am not quite sure of this but you might try going to Nikon's website and registering the camera there to find out if it is USA warranty or not. Worth a try anyway.

I have a D3200 and am looking for a telephoto zoom lens mostly for bird photos while hiking and camping. I'm considering the Nikkor 200-500 f/5.6 ED VR and the Tamron 100-400 f/4.5-6.3 Di Vc USD. My main concern is auto focus speed, image quality because I don't do post processing, and that the lens will pair well if I upgrade to the D7500. Thoughts?

I have the Nikkor 200-500 and the only complaint I have with is it can get heavy if you are using it handheld for any length of time. My old ass arms sometimes can't keep up, lol!

If it makes any difference I use a mac system. I had an Epson Artisan printer for years. In fact, I wore it out.
When I went to Best Buy to replace it I ended up with a Canon Pixma. I have not been at all happy with it.
The colors aren't as good and replacing an ink cartridge after it ran out caused a lot of manipulating to get the colors anywhere near accurate. I want to go back to an Epson but can't decide which one. It is over an hour drive just to get to Best Buy (the nearest store to me that sells computer equipment) so I think I'm going to buy online but I'm not comfortable shopping sight unseen. The largest prints I make are 8x10. Any suggestions as to which model might best meet my needs would be much appreciated

I have the Canon Pixma Pro 100 and love it, the prints are excellent but it is a big heavy printer able to print 13X19 prints. The ink is a little expensive but then again isn't all ink on the expensive side now days. I got mine from B&H photo when they had a $250.00 rebate on it with a free package of 50 sheets 13X19 paper with it which brought my cost down to about $120.00 so I was indeed happy with the purchase.

You have your playback option set for show focal point, all you have to do is press up or down on the multi selector button while viewing an image on the camera monitor to turn that off and it should solve the problem. Hope this helps.

I have shot Nikon for over 50 years. The Nikon 850, IMHO, is the best Nikon camera ever made.
But don't take my word for it, read some reviews for your self or go to google and look it up for your self, your the one who will own and use it. You should always be sure about a camera before you buy one.

Sales of 'traditional' cameras of all kinds have sunk to amazingly low levels as phone cameras have rapidly taken over the market. Starting with the Huawei P30 Pro's Leica camera, phone cameras now can be adjusted manually for aperature, speed, ISO, EV, and include automatic settings as well. The Huawei P30 includes a 5X telephoto to wide angle capability. The newest cameras from Apple, Samsung and (I suppose) Google's Pixel all include these capabilities, are waterproof to some degree, and generally provide all the functions of a 35 mm digital.

My camera group is going to have a discussion of the topic but I would like to hear from you about when you might favor a phone camera over a traditional digital camera, assuming you carry both. What can a phone camera NOT do?

I think phone cameras have their place in the scheme of things, most of the people using them are just posting that photo to Facebook or some other website and not making huge prints to hang on their wall. Have you ever seen someone hire a professional photographer that just showed up with a phone camera? If so, why would you do that instead of just having your friends take the photos for you. I think as long as there are professional photographers there will be a need for a camera to suit their needs whether it is a phone camera in the future that will do the same things a DSLR will do today or the latest professional camera of the times. Just my opinion, who knows what the future holds.

I have accumulated a batch of various Epson ink cartridges and am interested in recycling them. Any suggestions? Staples will take them back for credit but over the years, I never received any credit so they are not a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

Search for Evolve Recycling, they will take you cartridges and pay you for them. They also provide free shipping labels to send your spent cartridges back to them. Good luck!

Thank you for your responses. I use it with a D 500 and sometimes A150 to 600 Tamron lens, But usually nothing more than the 18 to 300 Nikon lens

That is really strange, I have a Mach 3 also but have no such problems with it. Have you contacted Benro to see if there is something they could do to rectify this situation.

Trying to find recommendations for memory cards for Nikon D850 I'm getting this week. I can't seem to find much info on Nikon website.

I just went ahead and got 4 of the Sony 120 GB cards from B&H after doing some research to find out who had the best price, I always came back to B&H.
