OK, here are ours, the walking dust mop is my wife's Toby and Tara is mine (since she fit on my hand with tail and nose just barely hanging off). The new beds were their birthday presents after Thanksgiving 2019. Tara was born that weekend in 2009 and we got Toby a year later, he was about 3 according to the Vet, we were his third family and didn't know his birthday so I just designated that they shared a birthday.
First each tried one bed, then they tried the other bed, then they disputed who got the "best" bed.

They are between the entertainment unit and my TV and my zero gravity power lounger so they are handy to beg pets, scratches and treats while I watch the news.

The piece of plywood is to block the draft from the doggy door on cold days or nights and the old sleeping bag is in honor of the porcelain tiles laid over concrete that transmit cold very well.

Hahahaha! Hey!, We'll just both take the best bed! Good story, mighty cute pups and it's obvious they are loved. I'm glad they got settled in the right home with love, care and a buddy. I can't imagine why anyone ever gives one up.

For really cold days and nights they have a double size bed under a table in the corner with filing cabinets making the other two walls so it becomes their "cave". It is warmer, esp with both in there and cooler on hot days. I do have to use a 4' "grabber" to get their food dishes if they take them in there to eat in bed.

Tara came from a friend across the street and until she died of old age she could visit her Mommy "Buttercup" from time to time. Toby, a guy was trying to give him away in a city park when Our Niece's husband had their kids there playing; they had a dog and turned him down then when walking to the parking lot to go home found Toby tied to a sign post near their car so they took him home. Then a year later they moved to a bigger house closer to work and the new place they had a limit of one dog per family so instead of letting him go to the shelter my wife brought him home and introduced Tara (aka Terror on her license papers-wife did it, said there wasn't space for "Little Holy Terror" on the form) to her new older brother. One guess as to which "I am my Jack Russell Daddy's little girl" is the boss of my little "Woof Pack".

Oh my. Dogs makes the best stories. Sounds like they live exactly like they want to now....as do mine. My 3 pound Yorkie was abused for 6 year before I got him. I tell people he's a Yorkshire Terrorist! He was frightened of everyone when he came to me, but after a couple of weeks he started to realize he was free to do as he pleased, so he became King. He sleeps in my armpit (yes, that's what I said). If he wants me to turn over, he gets behind me and scratches the back of my head.
it's how he gets behind me that bothers me. He stomps right across my face. That'll wake ya up! He gets in Lucy's face if he wants her huge bed or her food and she moves and lets him have it. He's livin' the life!!!

Do you think some hoggers might think we love our pups? (or that our little brats might be just a little spoiled???)

Could be!

When we got Tara she slept in the bed with us* until warm weather came 6 months later then she got a big dog house to herself but still spent a lot of time in the house. I would put her in my lap while I read or watched TV in the recliner and she would walk up to my shoulder and go to sleep with her nose in my ear. When she got too big to do that (didn't fit my shoulder) she didn't give up trying for a month or two.
My old power recliner was an ultra wide and she would sleep by my leg while I watched TV but the Doc told me to get my feet above my heart at least 6 to 8 hours a day and the expensive new "zero gravity" model is only a "wide", she doesn't like having to lay partly on my leg so sleeps in front of the TV now. My wife suggested I buy an ultra wide model, put the wide one in the living room since she plans to trash the love seat that is breaking down from too many years and Tara can have room to sleep by me again. I showed her the catalog - the zero gravity ultra wides in a good brand are over $3400 before tax etc. I am still considering it but I also read a lot of books and have a list of new photo toys I want - like the R7 aps-c action/wildlife replacement for my 7DII they keep teasing will come out soon, maybe....???

*Night one bed in the fireplace room in a warm corner - she cried because she was alone so night two Debra made her a bed on the floor on her side of our bed - she whined a bit and the second time Debra rolled over to pet her to get her back to sleep and she whined again I felt a "plop" next to my pillow and opened an eye to see a very happy tiny puppy settling down to sleep between our pillows. As she got bigger she moved further down for more room until she was 7 months old, sleeping between our feet and with warm weather and a dog house Debra's sister gave us she had her own place on the patio - very roomy because Windy's dog had been a "big" German Shepherd. Tara could run laps in her new house. Even after we got Toby to share with her. Then after the back of the house was remodeled and most of the patio became a family room I put in a doggy door, and a toddler gate to keep them in the family room. So they moved inside and the dog house got passed on to someone else.

That zero gravity chair is so comfortable I fall asleep in it almost every night, just like Debra falls asleep on the couch in the living room with the TV/Cable remote in her hand and the cat sleeping with her.

I'm not kiddin' you, the pup stories are as entertaining as the pup photos and the good part is they go on and on. Something new all the time. It's no wonder we'd just as soon be with our pets as to be with most people. I think I must love my dogs way too much. I was just as bad about my horses and my birds.

I've had birds all my life and they are soooooo smart. I have one small green parrot now and she will be the last. At my age, I fear what may happen to my animals if something happens to me. My bird called my husband after he passed away and cried like a newborn baby when he didn't answer. It took her almost 2 years to give up and quit. Now she tells me she wants a potato and I've never heard anyone say that to her. Don't know where she learned it. She calls me Mimi because that's what the grandkids call me. Maybe there will be a National Bird Day some day.

I think it's wonderful that we can give our rescued pups a good spoiled life and in return, they are so appreciative, so loving, so loyal and so entertaining!

Have the Grandkids ever fed her a potato chip and she only got the first word down pat?
