The comments range from serious to pompous. I have a Sony HX-99 (?) and it serves me for what I need. I get the usual ohs and ahs for my pix and we are all happy. And I’m richer !!!

Thanks for the info. I didn’t realize a filter option was available. Is there a section for gear for sale ?

Saw an Army Corp of Engineers dredge in Vietnam. Had a huge sign “DANGER Hypo-Cycloidal Propellers” Asked the Captain what it meant. His reply was it was there just to scare the Vietnamese away.

Joe if you go with a Nikon D810 I highly recommend the Vintage (circa 1986) AF 70-210mm f/4 Nikkor... See below
You can still find superb copies of this vintage Nikkor which was Nikon's very first AF Telephoto lens...

It is able to handle the entire 36mp with ease... And has wonderful ergonomics.... a joy to use and focus down to 3.7 feet... weighs only 767 grams (which is 100 grams lighter than the much newer AF-S 70-200mm f4G ED VR Nikkor (2012)) I shoot them both and they are identical in acuity at f/5 and above...

Also the AF 180mm f/2.8D which appreciate the journey is selling is razor sharp, has absolutely breathtaking color harmonies latent within it's captures. Again it truly shines on a Nikon D810

Again hope this helps Joe and appreciate the journey...
Wishing you both much success with your endeavors...

One of my other hobbies (ham radio) - Looking for HF amplifiers 1-30 MHZ range, solid state/transistor/tube 250 watts output and above, low or high drive....Ham or CB amps OK (I can modify to use if needed), prefer working units, don't mind buying tubes if power output is low...transistor amps - depends, but I am interested in any potentials. Same with transceivers, if you have something you are not using anymore, extras, whatever, let me know, we can take it from there. I mention CB as many CB amps and Tranceivers cover the 25-30 MHZ range making them useful for frequencies other than CB. I'm legitimate radio operator, call sign via PM if needed. Trade gear - Canon/Nikon/Sony/Tamron/Sigma cameras and lenses...will be posting some of those soon. Please PM for discussion and thanks for taking time to read. olemikey

Have a MFJ-989C tuner if interested. Would rather sell it $170 and I’ll pay shipping.
