we had a surprise visit or an unwanted visit from this beautiful Bobcat. Mature male/ about 25-30 pounds. He was watching our dog that was on the porch with me. I always have camera ready when sitting outside. This is once in a life time shot. Canon EOS 60D, 70-300 canon lens.

We were on the deck, about four feet off the ground, gate at the top on the stairs. The cat was across the road, about 30 yards from the house. Dog wanted to play..she has no idea!

I could tell a story just like yours. My home property in Jacksonville backs up to a very large tract of land that is ruled " jurisdictional " because there are significant water tributaries that wander all through it. That tract can never be developed. we've seen just about every animal indigenous to the area come onto our property. But never a bobcat....until 2 weeks ago. It looked just like the one you took a picture of.
