We must have gone on the same tour. I liked the tour so much I bought a house in Sicily, (which i like to call a Microcosm of the Mediterranean), and lived there for ten years.

I get a lot of this kind of crap;many are referring to things I owe for but don't have,or never had, packages waiting to be shipped, etc.etc. Wish they could catch & jail the creeps doing this stuff.

Call Jason Straham, a Beekeeper, he'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

Longshadow. you seem to be the only person who realized the purpose of my post. To All the rest who responded, thank you for your responses. Just showing the rest of the UHH's out there that we always need to be alert as many of these emails are not as easy to detect as this one.

Looks like a scam to me, especially since I have no idea who these people are. The e-mail address looks funny too. It's is sent to 100's of email addresses, (many looking like e-mail lists from companies like Macafee), that look like they were copied and hope that someone would be dumb enough to respond.

I bought a curved Samsung 46" wide monitor after seeing it in my accountant's office. It has all the bells and whistles but since I use it primarily for photography and not gaming, I find that I really don't need all that real estate. Prior to buying the present monitor I used two 30" monitors side by side and parked my photoshop tools and miscellaneous items on the right and kept the left side exclusively for the image. It worked well. I have since bought a 32" Wacom Cintiq and I use in in in conjunction with my laptop which is fine for what I do. I am now thinking about selling the curved one.

A GREAT rant. I received a great toy on Christmas 1952. However, it required some assembly. I was 8 years old and didn't think about manuals, I just wanted to play with the toy. Unfortunately, my father also did not read the manual. Long story short, the toy never did what it was supposed to do. From that time to this very day, I always grab the manual first and read it. When the manual is 800+ pages I take it step by step and when it is too confusing, (or boring, (did you wade through the Nikon Z8 online manual?)), I turn to third party writers. Thank God for You Tube!

BACKGROUND
After a lot of research, we decided to purchase extended coverage for our 7-year-old RAV4. We decided to go with Consumer Reports recommended provider ENDURANCE. After lengthy discussion with the company representative on the phone we decided on a plan that fit our needs, paid the down payment, and set up a monthly payment schedule. We were told we could not make any claims for a specified period of time, (one month), the company would not pay for any problems that existed before coverage, and that a certain amount of milage had to be covered before a claim could be made, (1000 miles). These restrictions were all well and good. Since signing up several months have passed and the mileage requirement has been met.

WHAT HAPPENED
We plan to take a trip to Washington DC in a few days, so I took the car to a local shop for and oil change and to diagnose a rattle coming from the engine compartment. Good thing I did. The mechanic discovered a belt tensioner had cracked and was causing the belt to loosen. The cost to remove and replace the belt tensioner, (and a new belt), came to $640. Yikes! Still, I was glad it was discovered before we embarked on our trip to DC. When I returned home, I got out my contract with ENDURANCE and ascertained that belt tensioners were a covered item. So, I called ENDURANCE to make a claim. I was advised they do not pay claims that have not been pre-approved. HUH? How can I get something pre-approved that I did not know existed? I was told the proper procedure is to have the repair facility call them for pre-approval. They determine if the repair is covered. Then after the work is completed, they pay the repair facility directly. Since I had not done that, it was tough luck. I reread the contract, and it was all there in black and white, so I only had myself to blame. I will certainly be more knowledgeable in the future. If any of you are considering this type of service READ YOUR CONTRACT CAREFULLY. Just a word to the wise

It would be a shame to visit MB and not drive 2 hours south to visit one of the most stunning cities in America. Charleston has enough to see you could easily spend a couple of weeks there and still only scratch the surface. I lived there for six years before moving to Pennsylvania thirty-something years ago. My family has returned yearly and two years ago we purchased a 2nd home on Mt. Pleasant across the Cooper River from downtown Charleston. We go down about three times a year now. Despite how much I've been there, there is a never-ending supply of things to see and do. From the boat ride out to Ft. Sumpter to the Ghost carriage rides, museums, and plantations, you will never get it all in without multiple visits. The food is as good as it gets anywhere with James Beard-honored restaurants. Great little out-of-the-way eateries like "Poe's" out on Sullivan's Island (a barrier island off the coast of Mt. Pleasant and about half an hour from downtown Charleston). They may serve you a hamburger as good as you will find anywhere. It is a small white house with seating inside, on the porch, or in the front yard. The theme of course is Poe with the raven on the sign. Take a walk on some of the cobblestone streets and stroll along the "Battery" This is a seawall that juts out in the Charleston harbor. A nice park runs down one length of the seawall and some of the most beautiful mansions from the Colonial Era are adjacent to the park. A park that lines the harbor along the Cooper River is a nice place to relax for a couple of hours. Enjoy the fountains (including the famous Pineapple Fountain), watch sailboats on the river, and have a swing in one of the swings that are under the covered portions of a dock that runs out into the river. The four-block-long market is also a great visit with many merchants selling locally made crafts including the Sweet Grass baskets that are hand-woven by ancestors of slaves. This is a craft handed down through the ages and is synonymous with the "Low Country". A real treat is to visit the Pharmacy in Old Village on Mt. Pleasant, sit on one of the round bar stools, and have a hand-dipped chocolate malt. If you think you might take this advice, PM me and I will give you a couple of suggestions you might like.
It would be a shame to visit MB and not drive 2 ho... (show quote)

I was going to write a similar reply, but Bridges stated his reply so eloquently there was nothing left to be said. I would like to say that as you head south on Highway 7(?) there is a restored ante Bellam plantation that is worth a visit. I found the period dressed docents knowledgeable and more than willing to pose for pictures. In particular, I found the seagrass weavers most accommodating one of whom allowed me to make close up pictures of her hands as she wove. I found the weavers in Charleston more belligerent and unwilling to have their pictures taken.
