All I can say is it’s either chop down trees for paper or dig up the earth for slate. Trees grow back, no new slate has been made for over 200 million years. And is we used slate instead of paper, just think how much postage would be for an ordinary letter!
Enjoyed this set...thanks for yhe laughs!
These are great, thanks for posting, Mark.
I once asked a history, teacher, “What will we do when someone wants to read the history of humanity and we no longer have [the old technology machines] to decider, the information that we’re used to record our history?”
His answer was simple. As long as there are surfaces (or paper), to write on with ‘graphite pencil ‘or ink to scrawl a message, we will always find a way to transcribe what history was written by a human hand.

'Way back when I was troubleshooting my 7-track tape machine, we had some liquid that contained small iron particles in suspension. You put a drop on the tape and it would show you the bits. It only worked well on the older 7-tracks because the bit density was low. But it would show you if one of the tracks was faulty.
Can someone please explain the sixth one for me. I don't get that one. I loved the peppers.

So a frequent internet meme is a picture of a guy, at a table, with a sign like this.
Now the above cartoon spins on that, with various well known slasher film killers. In slasher films, the kids wander off, one by one, only to be murdered. So obviously they deserved it because they were dumb.
