Several users here use the (big mamma) 150-500, including myself. It is a big heavy lens and unless your a big guy, it should be tripod mounted. I love the lens, but have found I have not used it as much as I thought I would do so. I will use it at a large horse show at the end of the month.

I am going to rent 150-500 for my trip to Africa. I can also rent a circular polarizer filter, but don't know what size to ask for. And is it worth it to rent that filter? Can you help me?

What fabulous photos. I loved each and every one of them. I am going to So. Africa in December. Can you tell me where exactly the shots were taken? Thanks ahead of time.

I went out to check on it and its neck was broken. I don'
t know how that happened. It was very upsetting, but all in the survival of the fittest.

This young bird is on the ground with no nest in sight. I think it may be a cardinal, but what do you all think? Also what can I do for it before some neighborhood cats get it? Its eyes do open from time to time.

Is it a cardinal?

I want to print some greeting cards using my own photos. Can anyone recommend a good program that's pretty fool proof to use? Of course, cheaper the better is good, too

I use Office Depot Greeting Card Templates. Google Office Depot Greeting Card Templates. I import my photos from photoshop. It works quite well.

Thanks Swamp Gator and wright1. After looking up banded water snake on line it certainly fits all the photos. I'm glad he wasn't interested in me as I was quite close.

I was hiking along the Conasauga River in north west Georgia. This is the most beautiful river in the state with tons of wild flowers and multiple crossings from Betty Gap to Chestnut Lead. This snake was sunning itself right beside the trail. The ranger said it was a copperhead after looking at the photo in the camera. I have tried to compare it with shots on line, but I'm not convinced. Can you help me with the identification?

What is this snake?

Squirrels are cute, but they are pigs at the feeder. My solution is Cole's Hot Meats; sunflower seeds coated with cayenne pepper. The squirrels don't like it and the birds don't care.

These shots were also taken in Switzerland. In the first one the glacier has greatly receded due to global warming. We were told the glacier was all the down to the building about 5 years ago. Notice the man in the glacier in the second one.

How would you compare the stacking process in CS5 with the Hadley combinezp? CS5 is very easy to use, but does combinezp do a better job?

The issue with the over exposure when using aperture priority is the exposure compensation with positive EV instead of being set to 0. All is right in the world or should I say my world. Thanks for all the help.
