Focus-Stacking Macro Subjects

This thread is strictly for macro images compiled with focus-stacking programs. Please provide a little text about process, number of original images, and name of program used. One "standard" narrow DOF image would be appreciated for comparison purposes.

Shot this by window light using 1/5-sec at f/8. ISO 200. WB set to cloudy. Original magnification was roughly 1:3 and then I cropped using iphoto on my MacBook. No other PP. I stacked 6 images using Helicon Focus.

Camera was a Nikon D300 with the Nikkor 105G macro lens.

nice shot,heres a couple.i used combinezp. both are 2 stacks,the mushroom is only 1/4" wide .

Yes! I second the mushroom kudos. Now if I could just get that low to the ground! I hope to get out in the next few weeks and look for some 'shrooms.

How difficult is combineZP to use? How much time is involved to do a 3 stack? Do you adjust each shot before stacking or do it after stack is complete? Could you provide a brief workflow?

all i do is open,click new,pick photos, click align thorough,do stack,save.it takes a few minutes,waiting mostly. tom

Just an fyi: combineZP is a Windows program and may not work on Macs.
