Vanguard Alta Pro 2+ 263 AT. Add a Vanguard BH-300 ball head. Or, for a bit more try an Acratech GP ball head.
Artists paint still life’s all the time. You random junk is a still life.
Some old timber; The Bridge of Flowers; and a path along the Merrimack river.
Your picture is being taken when you’re in public all the time by surveillance cameras both private and those belonging to the government/law enforcement. Sometimes the cameras are obvious but quite often not, especially those belonging to the government/law enforcement. If they can take my picture when I’m in public, always without my consent and quite often without my knowledge, then me fairly obviously taking shots should not be an issue - especially with the police

Try Cyberlink PhotoDirector. Lightroom clone, so minimal learning curve
Usually on sale, both subscription and stand alone. Don't buy at full price, but even that is cheaper than Adobe.
Has Layers which lightroom doesn't.
They keep adding a ton of presets (styles) which can be fun if you're in to that sort of thing.
Here is a little review -

I think you’re the first person I’ve seen mention PhotoDirector. I’ve been using it for a couple of years and it seems to fairly feature full but I’ve only been doing this for a few years. Give the price and that I was just starting out, it seemed like a good starter choice. Over the years they keep improving the product and adding functionality like layers that now I’m hard pressed to find a reason to move away other than popularity and thus resources available for Lightroom.
How do I post to this contest? I only seem to have the Quick reply option.
Bring a tripod or those lenses won’t much matter for waterfalls.
