I ran across this young man (I am turning 74 in August, suddenly anyone under 60 is given the descriptor YOUNG)...finally having the time to catch up on what was available on photography education on YOU TUBE. Henry Turner is a landscape photog in the UK.
I thought I would share him with the HOGS... his natural enthusiasm and love for what he does is infectious. After 15 wks in our apartment... I found him a refreshing non-alcholic libation.
Couldn't we all use that now. Nice kid....damn, I'm doing it again.
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll look up some of his videos.

There are many great photographers on YouTube. Some of the ones I follow: Mark Denny, Steve Perry, Nick Page, Adam Gibbs, Thomas Heaton, Gavin Hardcastle, Pierre Lambert, Karl Taylor, Nigel Danson. There are more but these are my favorites.
One of the best things I've seen on YouTube is Photography Online which is absolutely awesome. These photographers are based in Scotland and do features on equipment, techniques, processing and even some on film. This online "magazine" comes out the last Sunday of the month but they have had a couple of mid month editions.
All are great sources and even though they are younger than most of us they have some unique ideas and are well worth watching.

I have been a subscriber to Henry's videos for about a year now. I agree he is very good and thorough in his walk through of how he makes the image. I'm sure he will appreciate the shout out on the HOG.
Thanks...he wrote an interesting EBook!

Agreed, all those mentioned and more offer an extensive library of lessons on Youtube. There are many nights I turn on the firestick and watch Youtube videos from my tv and learn something new about photography or locations for future vacations.
For example, I'm planning a trip to the Smokies in late August. I've already watched several videos from other people's trips around the area. Despite never being there, I have a general feel for the National Park and then use Google Earth to show more. It's a long way from growing up with 3 channels with some shows even in color :)

I would add James Popsys to this list. He is funny and his videos are really entertaining.
