He most certainly was a fisherman. I always recall, in the Fall, he would go to a spot on the river for no more than 15 of 20 minutes each day and come home with a Walleye. (16th St. bridge) that went over to the landfill, stockcar track.
Just a note. A fun time to blow bubbles is when the outside temperature is near zero or below. The bubbles freeze and the surface crystalizes.
I remember being there with you.
I have a bird feeder on a pole. Often squirrels would climb the pole and empty the bird feeder overnight. I found the solution. Attach a SLINKY to the pole and let it hang down. When the squirrel reaches the SLINKY he slides down. Problem solved.
Super Pics. I have a question. I have a difficult time photographing birds. My images are not sharp. I am using a 400mm lens and usually taking them quite a distance away, maybe a hundred to two hundred yards. They are usually in a tree across a river. We have a state park in our town with a road along the river. With traffic through the park, they are seldom on our side. Any clues as to best settings to use.?
I enjoyed visiting there with you some years ago.
Bad enough we got a ton of snow, but now we have well below zero weather. At noon, we are still at 10 below zero with 35 below wind chills. (Anamosa, IA) My front sidewalk is snowed in, but I ain't a gonna go out and shovel today. We haven't even seen any traffic come down our street. Brrrrr!
I have about 400 of the critters. Very few cheapies from China, Japan.
I find that squirrels are often difficult to photograph. We have a State Park just outside our town. If you happen to come across one, before you can get a photo of it, about nine times out of ten they will run up the back of a tree.
When I see someone going through our state park with their dog I always ask. "Is your dog taking you for a walk?" Their answer is pretty obvious.
I 1st answered 40. After looking at it again, my new answer is 35.
Gosh, of all the pictures barns I've taken, I don't have that one. Do you recall where it is at?
A football game consists of 4 15 minute quarters, hence 1 hour. Then why does a football game on TV last 3 1/2 hours? I know there are time outs, etc, but commercials add a lot of time.
Visited there a few years ago. Quite the place.
