People are going to be people, we photographers are no different. Quit stirring this pot. Spend more time creating photographs that provide enjoyment to the viewer.

Recently I was given two AlienBees 320 WS B800 lights. I've tried everything I can think of (and even went to youtube) and still can't get the lights to flash with my Canon 6D camera. I've tried the test button, and the lights flash. The model lamp works fine. I've tried different combinations of numbers on the triggers that came with the units and that didn't seem to help. The previous owner of the lights was shooting with a Nikon but that shouldn't matter should it? I coordinated the trigger numbers with the numbers on my Yongnuo RF-603C trigger that I use for my speedlights for the camea. I turned the trigger on and my Yongnuo trigger too. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. I'm hoping that one of you UHH members have a good handle on the AlienBees 320 WS B800 and can solve my non-flash problem!
I'm attaching some photos that may be of some use to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance!

Teachers should be able to teach children to be inquiring, how to research a question, curiosity, etc. not information. Teachers can not be an expert (even in a particular field). There is way too much information available, but if a teacher can teach children the ability to search and read, then he/she has succeeded as a teacher. BTW, this goes across all curriculum areas.

Other than the branches in the upper left corner, If you will turn the subjects with a lazy eye the other way that places the lazy eye closest to the camera, will help some.

Google " how to get gritty look in Photoshop"

Google "Dave Hill photograpy"

Search YouTube for gritty photography effects, etc

Lots of reading. I have an action set up to do this. I got it from a blogger in Maine.

She said that her group focused on the big picture and did not have a narrow view of situations like the Bush administration. Still blaming Bush for everything.

You all still have not answered the question! My understanding if very limited on this subject, but I have come to the conclusion that a piece of work is yours and that a signature will increase the value of that piece. Most artists sign their work on the front ....very visible. I think that is very acceptable for you. (just my 2 cts worth, can't take it to the bank!)

I shot little leagues for about 30 years. Here is how I did it: Film days-I created a log sheet with ever how many frames I had on a roll per page and I recorded a name for every frame or if I saw a blink, I wrote the player's name down twice. This way I had exactly who or what was on each frame. Digital days, I only recorded the order of the players. I did record the beginning frame number and ending frame number on the roster. Btw, the parents ordered and paid at the time photos were taken, so I actually had an order blank on the roster page, using tally marks under the headings of options. Hope this helps.

1. Aperture priority at least F8
2. ISO at 400 or 200
3. RAW if you can post process, JPEG Fine and large if not
4. Tripod set as close as possible.
5. Place height at the waist of the ones standing or a little higher.
6. Find an open shade spot...In full sun, either turn their back to Sun or at least 45 degree to the side. (be careful with glare on the lens) Turn your flash on for fill.
7. If you can see the histogram, check quickly to see if your extremely over exposed or extremely under exposed.

Interesting stuff....But....Wal Mart is in this to make money, our government is in this to provide a service, not to make a profit...A very big difference!

Try this: Choose the house to be photographed, With the camera on a tripod, set camera on Multiple Exposure, In the evening hours just before dark, while it is still light enough to photograph the house accurately, take the first photo in low, but normal light. Wait until dark and all the windows are well-lighted, expose for the lights. You may have to play around with the settings and time of day to get the photo you want. You probably could do the same thing with multiple exposures in photoshop using layers and masks.

If money is not much of an object....buy the camera body identical to the one you have, set it up the same as the one you have, put one lens on each body and shoot away. You will have most things covered! If money is a problem, stick with what you have and learn to change the lens easier!
