Michael Curtiz. One of my favorite directors. Used shadows so well.
I remember getting a Kodak Instamatic in 1965, at the age of 9. I used this little camera until my last year of college when it finally breathed it's last and died. I wanted something more, so I purchased a Nikkormat FTN and still have that camera.
Seven years old in second grade. We were standing in line (I think for lunch) when it was announced. When some of the teachers started crying, the serious nature of this event became apparent to us all.
Lovely series. I too, live in North Carolina (foothills) and sometimes forget just how beautiful the Parkway can be this time of year.
It is all in how people see things. I work in a children's museum and science center. Yesterday I watched a family group of about 8 people standing in front of one of our animatronic dinosaurs and the girl taking the photo repeatedly telling them to "get closer". I walked over and offered to take a couple of shots, did it horizontally, got everyone in, all were happy. The girl actually said "why didn't I think of that?"
My son has a Google Pixel 3a. He get to upgrade when mine is paid off or he decides to pay for it himself.
I have a Samsung Note 20+, replaced a Note 8. We keep our phones a long time.
My camera is a Fujifilm XT-2. No intent to upgrade as it is a hobby and I am very happy with it.
The kid has a Canon Rebel (don't know the model but it is at least 5 years old) but he uses the film equipment at his university when he is there.
Yup. Looks like a good way to get shot and not by a camera.
I have not purchased any photo equipment from them but the smaller items I have purchased have been of decent quality.
Good to know. I am still using an XT-2 as well. So far, no problems. But it is nice to know I can get help if needed.
So true. A few years back, someone on YouTube gave professional photographers really cheap or toy cameras to see what results came back. To no one's surprise, the photos were outstanding (given the resolution and other camera limitations).
Agreed. No one service will offer everything you want. I currently have Hulu on pause (yes, you can do that) and also have Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Discovery+ and Disney+. Cut the TV cable over a year ago, saved $100 on my Spectrum bill, and have not missed it. Again, if you find you are not watching all of it (or, like us, waiting for a new show's season a few months away) there is an option to pause your subscription where you won't get billed until you activate it again.
I am still rocking my XT-2. Love the compactness(is that a word) of this camera and the colors are wonderful. I would also add I don't need much in terms of video; I am strictly doing photography. I just watched 2 reviews of the XT-5 yesterday and it is the first time I have thought about upgrading.
I lived in Spain for about 5 years awhile back. All the advice given is good. I would like to add avoid letting a group of children surround and touch you. Pickpocketing starts very young here in large cities and children in groups work the tourists.
