I have a Cullman Magic 2 .It is as steady as a rock and can be folded down to fit in a suitcase.
Imho if you are taking 8000 pictures on a vacation you are spending too much tie behind the camera and not stopping to smell the roses.Enjoy what you paid all that money to see and take less pictures
The Tamron 18-400 covers it all and is light enough to carry all day

In NJ there is a public nude beach in Sandy Hook. There are no signs restricting photography. If I wanted to take photos ( I do not) what would be the legal ramifications assuming they are for my own personal use.Again ,It is a public area with no signs about taking pictures

I just switched from a Tamron 18-200 to TAMRON 18-400.Either of theses lenses will do the job especially if you can up the iso level for low light.Remember ,the things you carry get heavier as the day goes on.Less is more. What starts out weighing 2 lbs after 5-6 hours of walking can feel like 8-9-lbs.Prague and Budapest are beautiful cities ,enjoy
If you get to Kennebunkport try Reds Lobster shack .Its north but the lobster rolls are fantastic
