In NJ there is a public nude beach in Sandy Hook.There are no signs restricting photography. If I wanted to take photos ( I do not) what would be the legal ramifications assuming they are for my own personal use.Again ,It is a public area with no signs about taking pictures

I am not a lawyer, as long as it is for your personal usage and you are not photographing minors in the nude you are O.K.
Public place, no level of expected privacy, not being published. Guess okay???
I'm not sure!?!? I think I'll have to come up that way next summer, and
check it out -- the photo-sharing ruling mind you.
I might have to take a few photos home and study the situation, though;
and then, I'll get back with you on the subject matter; while we sip one
on the beach, of course....

If they are just for your own personal use, then there are no legal restrictons, but as soon as you think about using them in any other way, you can not use them anymore without a release!

Actually you can probably sell such photographs to just about anyone, exactly the same as any other picture. That changes for "commercial" use.

Uh, what exactly do you mean by "personal use" -

This article, from 2016, tells you all you need to know:
https://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2013/08/get_naked_or_get_lost_a_day_at_gunnison_jerseys_only_legal_nude_beach.html"One big no-no: cameras. "It is considered extremely rude to photograph others enjoying themselves at the beach,'' reads a guide to nude beach etiquette on the web site of Friends of Gunnison, an American Association for Nude Recreation-affiliated club."
If you put someone who looks like a minor on your computer you might be explaining it to a judge before you head off to prison

Total BS.
I have dozens if not hundreds on minor children on my web page. Some have been there 20 years now.

Probably legal but expect to get punched in the face....
A lot depends on if you piss someone off. I shoot a lot of people but they are clothed and still get a few who don’t like it . I would tread with caution or get a long lens.
"Public" means no private ownership, and many places that people consider public are actually owned by individuals or corporations. Maybe the absence of "No Photography" signs is just common sense. I can't imagine these people being okay with a stranger taking pictures of them. Walking around fully clothed would attract attention, I would think.
