What do you put on top of your Cullman Magic 2? Original Cullmann Magic 2 tripod was discontinued and no longer available from manufacturer. Must be a reason. I do not think it would support my D800 with a 200-500MM lens.

SO? I was assuming there was a point to your post. Weight savings, what can be mounted safely on it, what are it's advantages over other tripods in the same category, why did you buy it over another brand. WHAT IS YOUR POINT?

Glad you like it. Jerry's provided link indicates it is no longer available anymore. It is a 57 inch tripod. And although the specs did not give a weight load of the tripod. It appears to look sturdy. Anyone wanting one will most likely have to shop eBay.

I do not understand, what you are trying to say. You have a tripod like the majority of photographers so nothing new there. Many small, workable tripods in the market that can easily fit in a suitcase which is not new either.

Listen, a tripod could be cheap or expensive but both of them are designed to hold a camera and lens. The most expensive one will most probably do a better job and that is it. I have a $45 Dolica aluminum tripod that with good technique has given me excellent, sharp images. Today I use it more often than my Gitzo, Manfrotto and my carbon fiber tripod especially when I travel and yes, all of them are are as steady as a rock.

I have a Zone 6 Lightweight. It weighs 11 pounds with a Ries J250 head, is steady as a rock and with the legs folded down fits in a 4' suitcase.
