Definitely the black and white. I like the contrast and drama better.
Definately the black and white. I like the contrast and drama better.
This one stopped me in my tracks. Gorgeous.
Thank you for your kind comments.
I saw the scene and had to back up to get it. I have learned to take advantage of the moment. I have missed too many stunning shots by thinking I could come back and get it later.
It's not in the Palouse. We are just north of Elk, Wa.
On my way to workout. Fall has arrived.
It has been a nice ride but I left Facebook because of all the h**e, chaos, politics and garbage in their content. Now I will leave UglyHedgehog for the same reason. Good bye..
I was hoping it had something to do with images. I won't get caught like that again. By the way, much of what is out there regarding politics is f**e news. Don't believe everything you read.
If this site is going to be about politics I will have to leave. I joined for the photography information and to see what others are doing for images.
Used to camp there when a child. Will never forget when my younger brother fell into a cholla cactus on his stomach. Those spines are barbed. We camped at Hidden Valley and climbed every rock we could find.
The roots of uprooted trees are really my favs. All the twists and convolution are mesmerizing.
I love the snags (dead trees). Everyone thinks they are useless and ugly but are homes for birds and insects. They are beautiful with their twists and shapes. I take images anywhere I find them.
Looks like a zinnia to me.
That's because Stellar Jays come and take them right after they are buried.
