I don't think you can put a price on life or limb either. However I feel if a person undertakes a hazardous task knowing all the risk and does need rescue services they should pay the entire cost of the the rescue operation.

I didn't want anyone using the originals when I had posted the pictures. I have had some experience with people claiming my freehand art work as their own, and taking credit for it. So I had hoped this would prevent/detour that sort of thing ;)

Turned me off with print across picture, didn't bother finishing looking at.

I might get rid of my guns since "Bid Sis" of homeland security said just defend yourself with a pair of scissors. NOT ME, rather have my gun.

We make our fruitcakes. We make them in late October. We wrap them in /rum soaked cheese cloth. On the last week before Christmas we start eating them. We usually make extra to freeze. I found one (small loaf pan size) in the back of freezer. It was 5 years old. Decided to try it and was amazed it was still moist and good. My wife said nothing could ruin with amount of rum I used to soak them.

Merry Christmas

There is a new difference between what you cite and the actuality. For the first time in decades, the legislature is totally controlled by the Democrats, so progress will not be blocked any more by the Republicans. The voters had enough of the Republican nay-saying and have stopped their veto control. So we shall progress. So your statements that Democrats have "run" California for years is quite wrong. NOW we Democrats run it.

Who ranked California as the worst-run state ? I hadn't heard that one before. Please give us your source.

A few months ago the New York Times listed Oakland as one of the best cities to live in. If I can find the exact citation I shall post it.

All I care about is that we now have a TOTALLY Democratic state government, from Governor and Legislature down, and are pulling out of the economic problems Bush's policies caused.

The Democrats have run the state of California for years and years, run it right into the ground. California was recently ranked as the worst run state in the United States and Oakland is consistently ranked in the top ten most crime ridden cities. But if you are happy there that is all that counts. Good luck with your new (old) governor and hope you don't go bankrupt. 8-)

Jeez, tough question. You may wish to consider renting equipment to try both ways. One of the lighting approaches may suit you better than the other.

I know this may be difficult, but which photo is your favorite and why?

Sorry for using the trick of posting a comment to get my images at the top of the list......but I truly do think you will appreciate these photos for the beauty of Yosemite and really wanted to share them with you.

Well? Isn't ANYONE going to look at these photos? Hmmmmmmm????

I see no need to comment. They are good but you have already bragged on yourself enough.

You may have served in WW II, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Iraq, or Afghanistan, or some other foreign place. But you served. You have a DD214, with the words "Honorably Discharged". Two of the most noble words in the world. And I am proud of each and every one of you. I was not a hero, but I am proud and happy to have served among them. Today is "Band of Brothers Day". To each of those who touched my life, here's to you.
