Hi,
Happy you could control it; important is to continue with the medication.
My boxer Ace (she will turn 10 next 6th July) begun with seizure April last year, due to a tumour in her brain.
She went through radiotherapy and is under anti-epileptic medication (phenoleptil), and has been seizure-free for 7 and a half months.
As you say, you never know when it will hit again, so we don’t leave her alone, even to sleep.
Good luck for you and your extended family!
Regards,
Miquel

Hi,
Here in Europe, it’s mandatory that cars show a lower speed in their speedometer than the real one.
I have been fined for exceeding 1 Km/h the limit, but it was AFTER correction: you always receive the notification with the measured speed and the corrected one.
As a rule of thumb, you can speed (without getting a ticket) +8 Km/h up to limits of 100 Km/h, and +8% when limit is higher than 100 Km/h.
Radar detectors are forbidden (as well as radar jammers), and in some countries (Germany, France) you cannot even have the radars indicated in your navigator system. Coyote found a way around: as radars are supposed to diminish danger (and not to make money 😂😂😂), they indicate “zone of danger” for 3 Km where there is a radar (not the exact location, as in other countries). So you have zones of fixed danger, mobile danger, temporary danger, …
And for the fix radars, it’s mandatory to be a sign before it.
Most countries are no longer installing new radars, but traject controls: those are providing quite a lot of money, mainly in work zones in motorways.

Miquel

Well, in the South of Italy road speed signs were usually only decoration.

And in a lot of European countries, they are more a kind of guideline than a law.

The most serious country in Europe about road signs is Germany, but also gradually changing.

Some years ago, I had a BMW 5 with build-in GPS.
One time, returning from Frankfurt on my way home, the GPS made me take next exit on the motorway I was in, then take the opposite direction of the same motorway, exit next exit, and return to the same direction I was driving before the detour.
I guess the GPS was bored?

Hi,
This happens in all intra- European flights: only the ones longer than 5 - 6 hours have different seats for business class.
Differences are:
- food (included in BC)
- the middle seat empty (if there is one: Finnair has also smaller planes where there are only 2 seats each side, so if flight is full, no space in the middle)
- priority lane for security check and priority boarding
- 2 hand bagage, with space reserved for BC
- access to the airport lounge

Miquel

Hello,
I have a boxer (not the 1st one), and 3 grandchildren (6y, 2y, 6m). They all love the dog, and we never had an issue.
True, it’s not a rescued dog (I had her when she was 2.5m old), but I have hsd inthe past some rescued dogs from different breds, and we have 6 children. Never had a problem.
I think that 95% of having a “trouble free” dog is on the owner: hou need to dedicate a lot of time in their education, and a lot of people having dogs just don’t do it.

Miquel

Hi,
Do you know if it is compatible with the RF1.4x and / or the RF 2x extenders?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,
I have been in Paris a lot of times (only 340 Km from home), and I'm heading there next Friday for 4 days with the family.
I always take my camera with me: formerly a 5Diii + 1DX, actually either a Z7ii or a R5. Normally 2 lenses (24-70 + 70 - 200)
I have never had any issue (knocking on wood now).
As many have said, you need to be vigilant, and avoid letting the camera on a table to look for a lens, or pickpocket's tricks to deviate your attention.
I am also always with my dog, so I suppose it helps as deterrent.

Miquel

Wonderful picture. Boxers seem to love children so much. Fun dogs too.

Thank you for passing by and commenting.

Indeed, they love children, and they are a lot of fun.
