Used to pull horse trailers with my pickup; 2000 Ford SuperDuty w/the 7.3 diesel turbo. One of the best Ford engines ever made. Their later diesels; so-so. Still got mine; but with the price going up on that popular engine, I may just sell it, since I no longer pull anything.
Now … THAT is a great truck, and an even better engine. I worked for Ford Motors Co, and owned a 2000 with the 7.3 that motor is a IH NAVSTAR T444E by International. Aka 7.3. But no more, I am now very satisfied with my 2023 3500 Duramax.

Everything is SO beautiful, until you get to the price! $94,000 and up is a little steep for 90% of the people.
Wow… that’s a lot of money, $18,720.00 less than my Silverado, and I got a deal.
Here in Southern Oregon I too have seen many of these trucks. My first awareness of the brand and truck, is from a reality documentary from 2019 on Apple TV called ‘A Long Way Up’. About a team embarking on a 13,000 mile journey from the southern most point in South America to Los Angles, Ca. Using A Prototype EV Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and having a Rivian EV Truck as the chase vehicle. Despite the issues of many EV’s on the road, these trucks are here.
I’m in.

I use iPads, with my Sony a6000 & a7III. I load photos into the iPad through an SD Card reader, which is fast and easy. There I use Affinity, and Light Room then shoot off too a client, or transfer to an external SSD devise. Once home I am able to download to my Laptop and edit further if need. Easy. No where as complicated as some believe, at least not for me.
Hope I’m not too late. Here’s a few “quick shots” of … “stuff”. All from my iPhones
Wow… so many comments and replies from iPhone haters, and here I have the same feelings about Android phones. Since retiring I have two businesses. One I perform insurance damage appraisal inspections, and other is product and food photography. My iPhone 12 Pro and this 8 plus are constantly in use. No issues, I use iPads, iMac, and a window 10 pro laptop. No issues.
I bought my first iPhone in ‘07 two months after release, and never had an issue. My current main phone is an 12 pro max with lots of storage. I never had to ever replace batteries, and the camera on my 12 is pretty good. I shoot Sony RAW.
About your questions. You mentioned you found apps supporting Canon. Great! Don’t download all just yet is my suggestion. Do one, get used to it then move to another. I use Sony, Nikon, DJI, and GoPro. So i have ally’s for each, and folders that apply to those cameras. Then there’s Affinity, and Lightroom.
Now about the OEM pre installed apps. My advice is to open one at a time, review and if it has no application to what you do, then create a “folder” and move it there OR DELETE.
On this phone (I use two daily) my multi folders are ‘games’ and ‘stuff’.
Lastly, about those “other” photo apps, there are many, but before you dive into them if your wanting to learn the phones camera just start shooting, and for starters stay with the OEM ‘Photos’ app. There you can edit, crop, and apply several minor features. Then weigh out what your needs. You didn’t mention what program you normally use to edit with your computer, but I’m sure “there’s an app for that”.
Enjoy your new ‘phone’.
Definitely interested to see this. Will there be a completely new section to go to? Or am I going to need five min to search for this?

I don't remember if I told you, but I use it for work. It is a great time saver because of the distance I would ordinarily would have to walk and take pictures.
I have been thinking about one for work also. What I cannot get an answer to is, can it take an image directly below it? IE: if I needed to inspect a roof of a trailer or motor home could it take a direct overhead view shot of say a roof seam, or a broken vent?
Happened to my wife’s too, she called support, and she’s been using since.
Call Amazon support. Should be a simple fix
[quote=PaulBrit]I have a photograph Jim, of our local Caveman Camera Club, wishes to use the photograph in an exercise to see how we members of the Club edit the image.
But Jim requires the image to be converted to ‘RAW’ format.”
Well since Jim’s a “Caveman”. Ask him if he can take the supper from last night and make it RAW again. That might be easier. JPEG is a finished product. Maybe he was asking if you had the original RAW file in your archives.

It is indeed a weather station.
I have seen these at small restaurants and other businesses. ‘Weather Bug’ Would allow viewers to setup at their home or location so when users signed on they could use the info from that station, where often was identified by the place of business.
