One control for volume, one to "mute" the system?
If I fat finger my TV remote I need a magnifying glass to find the mute button to restore sound.
We used to see this truck on display back when I was going to old car shows with my 38 Chevy. It was on a huge car hauler in a parking lot. The new looking dually pickup truck pulling the rig had its hood up and had tools , gallons of fluids and God knows what all laying around the truck. We did our shopping and had lunch, it was still there when we left. Photo is from a cellphone in the rain.
Perhaps all that pot Willie smokes will preserve him forever.
An article from todays Traverse City paper that has a little info on the Island. I see the St Ignace car show is this weekend and they expect 25,000 people to attend. Crazy for a town with 3,000 residents.

My stepdaughter just texted us that you can still get gas for $1.39 at Taco Bell!
[quote=olemikey]This is the best and easiest advice.
You know I have tried that, bought the pepper treated seed, no effect. So I added bulk McCormick Ground Cayenne Red pepper. No effect. I have squirrels deer and bear at my feeders and the hot pepper did nothing.
I saw some "Extra Hot" cheeto style treats, I could not eat one. they were terrible. The bear and deer eat them like candy.
So I tried putting the feeders up higher. The deer go higher and the bear just tears the feeder down.
Now we just enjoy seeing the deer and bear and put out some treats for them. I build the feeders to make it as difficult as possible for the squirrels and coons but when one learns how to get to the feed the thing that works best is a .22 pellet.
I give up on the grapes too. The Piliated woodpeckers like them so much I haven't had to pick a grape for years now.
This is from the website of
"John Fox - Motion Picture Armourer and Weapons Specialist for the Film and Television Industry"
and was written long before the Rust production shooting.
"the Armourer is also Legally Responsible for the safety of all cast and crew on the film
set when any firearms are being used.
Some of these responsibilities are defined by Law in the Firearms Act or the Armourers Licence
and others are dictated by the "on set" requirements of the Camera and physical positions of
the cast & crew on the set"
They had production crew walk off the set and I personally have a feeling that someone placed
live rounds with intent to sabotage the set. I will never understand why they would have real guns
on the set anyway. A plugged barrel replica would have solved this.
I looked at MAC as a replacement. I could not get a MAC laptop with a 17.3 monitor,
with my vision I will want as big as possible. MAC will not run my software unless I use
an emulator. Whatever that is. And with the price difference I can spend well under half
as much for the new HP I ordered today so I can replace it again next time they pull this
on us and still be ahead.
Interesting take on Win 11 update, last paragraph sums it up well.
MS makes no money on updates. If the update makes 50 million or so older
computers (in the US alone) obsolete and MS sells 50 million copies of Win 11
at say $50.00 each (just a guess of price) that works out to some real money.
......Now do that worldwide.
The system tester says neither of my laptops will run it, and if it is like previous
new systems it is just a matter of time till till my programs will update to run
on the new platform but my computer will not so I will end up with a new computer.

Still seems strange having a NON-PHOTOGRAPHY TALK in a Photography forum maybe its an American thing. I usually view
Ok, so I blocked this guy, any idea why his silly drivel is coming thru to me?
I just want to be rid of him.

Sorry for your problems but why is this here in a photography forum?

Can anything go right? I have been arguing with Michigan unemployment for over a year now.
I got a letter way back then that they approved my request for benefits and would send me money.
I went thru hell trying to contact them, I haven't worked in nine years and never applied for any benefits.
They have phone numbers that go into a hopeless circle, "phones are busy, please hold", around and around
till I went to another state site that said all offices are closed because of covid, so no one answers phones.
So I sent emails and a letter in the mail.
Weeks went by and I finally got a letter that I may qualify for extended benefits and how to apply for more.
I send more letters and emails, I DID NOT ASK FOR MONEY AND NEVER RECIEVED ANY MONEY.
Two weeks later I get a letter that I may qualify for extended benefits.
I then get a letter in the mail with a 1099 for $6,000 that I owe tax on.
I have lived at the same address for 45 years, why would they send money to elsewhere? They had my
address to advise on how to get more benefits but they sent the money to where? Russia? China? or perhaps
they thought I had become a Nigerian prince?
I finally got a letter telling me to not report or pay tax on the 1099 from Michigan for $6,000. They were scammed.
Two weeks later I get a letter from the state that it looks like I may qualify for extended benefits.
Jerry, your post made me think of all the money I have spent on the latest, best, fastest tech stuff that I couldn't give away after a few years because it was such old and out of date technology.
And that reminded me of this joke.
Have a great new year, much better than 2020 I hope.
