Thank you all for response. I'm not sure which way to go. Nikon website doesn't even cover the D3 just the D3x. So it doesn't look like they would fix my old D3.

Good morning all. My Nikon D3 has the dreaded ERR message. After looking online for fixes I believe it is time to send in for repair. I call Authorized Photo Services. The gentleman I talked with assured me that they do repair Nikon as well as my D3. My question to you is has any one had any experience with this company?

Just recently did business with them. I traded all my Nikon gear and an Olympus e-m1 w/ battery grip for an olympus e-m1 ii w/ 12-40mm 2.8 pro lens. The lens was listed as "well used", but didn't look to bad. I put the lens on and was greatly disappointed as the pictures I took are blurry. I have called and wrote an email to MPB. That was late in their business day Friday so I have not heard back from them yet. lol patiently waiting a reply.

Olympus GS-5 Grip Strap. It also fits the E-M1 Mk1 with it's battery grip, and I believe I was using the same model on my E-M5 with battery grip.

Thank you very much.

Great for DSLRs also. All the DSLRs I've had been gripped.
Weight has never been an issue for me. Handling is much improved for me anyway.

Olympus makes a battery holder for all of their OM-D models. Here is my E-M1 Mk2 with its battery holder and the really great hand strap that they make to mate with the combination. I have also attached the lugs for an Op/Tech strap. The battery holder adds some weight but it's worth it for the extra life and the ability to use that hand strap.

What model of hand strap is that please?

Since buying a near mint Nikon D700 (<4k clicks) I have been using the nikon 28-105mm almost exclusively. It's my first FF camera. Phil
