Beautiful! I must have at least 50 photos of a red rose none as spectacular as yours! I love the background also. Thanks for sharing!
27 always, good eyes or bad, love my iMAC 27. Go for it...
I use both the 55 macro(old) and the 105 2.8...on D100/D200.. but now I have the D810 and the results are great...I've done a "bugs butt" and "flower top bee" and either lens works great. I tend to switch to manual most times....still trying to get depth of field a little better...practice, practice and practice. Thank goodness for digital not film!
I love dogs also and have a St Bernard for 8 1/2 yrs and she's still a puppy....we had a Chesapeake Bay retriever for 11 1/2 yrs but had to put him down, sad day, but St Sasha the Bernard loves being the "only child"...if it were up to me I'd have a least 2 or 3 more "pups"....any size any color!!!!!
Thanks for sharing, great pups and great shots..
Flowers are my life! I love growing them(all perennials, lilies, etc)and using my macro. When I figure out how to "do it" I'll show some of mine.....Great shots, wish I could grow tulips, thats an appetizer for all the deer and other critters around here...
Just perfect! Thanks for sharing.
Welcome! I'm another one on the other side of 65(+5) and I'll agree I've never been busier. I'm from Northern NY(north of the Adirondacks), great scenery also and wild life! Enjoy!

Industrial size Generator, 1,000 gal. propane tank, buried(that we own),radiant heat flooring, no forced air, no wood burning stove(no wood to haul/cut/stack),1/4 mile driveway that we contracted to plowing. I designed our retirement home with more of what we didn't want rather what we wanted...wheelchair accessible 4' wide hallways, one floor, 8x20 basement for canning/wine suppl and snow mobiles and cross country skis ... thats how you do it in Northern New York....
8" of snow than the next day 59f 1hr later 35f, midnight 4 " of snow next days end 2' of snow...but minus for about 2 weeks...yeah for 20 degrees f!

Looking forward to your work...I'm "nature and wildlife " also, Welcome.
Welcome to UHH! Years ago I was able to "play" with a 5 x 7 super cambo and had a ball processing the negatives, which were assume prints! It took me a long time to go from film to digital....enjoy !
Welcome to UHH! And especially your retirement! You will really enjoy being a part of UHH and all the direction you'll need. I also have the 24-70...use it on my older cameras D100/D200 and even my newer one D810....its a keeper.
I was a cat person for years, working full time I couldn't have a dog....I've been retired for almost 16yrs and have had dogs(down to one now). But I'd love to bring in a cat or two.....later in life! Great photos! Thanks for sharing.
This morning was another minus morning....-21 and a little windy, UGH...10 straight days of this! Can't cross country ski, can't take old dog for long walks...she starts to limp when its cold, so out for a quick pee/poop and run to the door/with me attached to the leash, in tow. Feed the birds every morning and every other day load up "under the pines" goodies for all the deer/snow shoes, etc. Still lots of snow on the ground and it is beautiful but I would like +20 sometime soon!
Stay Warm!
