We'll have a high of 4° F today and a low of -10°. Mother Nature can be nasty. I'll be out most of the day, playing with two different ukulele groups. After driving into town yesterday to see Star Wars, I've decided to get a seat-heating kit for my car for next winter.
Tomorrow it will be above freezing for the first time in over a week.
Not trying to be a smartass, but the temp has dropped to lower than 50 degrees in Miami for the second day this week.
I grew up in Denver; but at this point, I am seriously spoiled.
Agreed. We're maybe 10° warmer than you. Too cold.

Seat warmers are great, especially for your lower back. Had them on the last 3 cars.
My brother has a Lexus & it has air conditioned seats. Spoiled brat.
Hey Jerry, try to keep that frigid air your area please.
Here’s a picture of my less than a week old Subaru in my driveway next to a 4 foot high snow drift.
I’m leaving for FL February 2. Yessssss!
Jerry,
Tomorrow it will be above freezing for the first time in over a week. I think you meant Monday, not tomorrow?

We are 29 degrees in North Carolina (to cold for me to go out to do photography).

Yup. For the temperature range you are used to.
(I lived in Florida for 27 years. I don't care to go shoot in "cold" weather either!)

About the same near Beacon, yesterday I was out tubing with granddaughters. They warm my heart.
We got home from Scotland last night - the temp was -2 this morning and we've got a frozen water pipe! I didn't think to put the faucet on drip before going to bed. Husband is out buying parts for the repair - NOT a good first morning back!!

watched a BBC news report from New York yesterday, and I couldn't believe how much snow had fallen..The reporter said her finger ends and toes were going numb with cold..and said the temperature was set to plummet even further during the night. Good luck to all concerned over there jerry.
This morning was another minus morning....-21 and a little windy, UGH...10 straight days of this! Can't cross country ski, can't take old dog for long walks...she starts to limp when its cold, so out for a quick pee/poop and run to the door/with me attached to the leash, in tow. Feed the birds every morning and every other day load up "under the pines" goodies for all the deer/snow shoes, etc. Still lots of snow on the ground and it is beautiful but I would like +20 sometime soon!
Stay Warm!
Jerry, I have 3 cars with heated seats. That is nice, but 2of the 3 have heated steering wheels. Given a choice, I think I’d give up the heated seats before the heated steering wheel. But here in Michigan, I’ll keep them both.
And what did you think of the new Star Wars?

Speaking of snow drifts, we had only an inch of snow, but the wind was so strong that it drifted and was piled high in certain areas.

It dropped to -1° F last night - and now. It will be warmer in a few days. It's funny how quickly how we get used to it. I just dress warm and go out and do what I have to do. Unfortunately, I'm going through a lot of firewood and heating oil. I run the oil burner every few hours just to keep the water from freezing in the radiator pipes.
Jerry, I grew up in the Catskills (Grahamsville) and remember the winters very well. As a kid I loved walking through drifts and know the feel of ears that you don't dare touch. Frankly, I envy your winter weather but after living 10 years in Tucson before moving to the Shenandoah Valley (VA) this year, I don’t think I could tolerate it even though it’s been quite cold here this week (but no snow).
