I don't understand why lawns are necessary. Creating a "lawn" of natural (and edible) plants, bushes, trees would not only reduce water usage, but provide food.

I'd suggest moving to Adobe Bridge, it has all of Lightroom's tools and features, but uses the Operating system of your computer. I've moved from Lightroom to Bridge in the past 12 months without an issue. Just think, no more 'Missing File" messages or catalog back-ups.

Bridge can also read the XMP sidecar files to maintain the Lightroom adjustments you made.

Agree wholeheartedly.

Googled "Huernia" and it came back with "Lifesaver Plant", which seems like the perfect "common name".

My Nikon D500 has now ruined a lens in a 2nd pair of glasses. I've found some information that talks about a cover of some kind that fits the viewfinder but I'm not sure that's what I need. Does anyone have experience with this issue and found a workable solution?

Is Abe's of Maine a trusted supplier? Prices are pretty good.

Just intrigued to find out what we do use our DSLR/MILC cameras for? (don't count the "I wonder what this button does?" occasions when you accidentally find yourself with a video file)

I'll begin the survey with my "stats" - here they are:

Photography 100% Videography 0%

Both I my cameras have video capability. I never make use of that capability. No video!

My brother in NJ said the second shot caused his shoulder to be more sore, and for longer, than the first. Other than that no adverse effects.
I'm going for my second shot in a few weeks. I'll certainly take more soreness, or the flu-like symptoms that some have reported rather than the full effects of Covid-19. I don't know why anyone would stop at the first short because some have a day, or two, of sickness?

I bought a blender from Amazon about a year ago. Arrived in an Amazon carton. Upon opening the carton I could see the box with the blender inside was ripped. I sealed the carton and returned it. Ordered another. It arrived in an Amazon carton. Upon opening the carton I could the box with the blender inside was not opened. I kept the blender.

I'd like to keep the expense to no more than $1500, unless that is unrealistic.

The computer I currently use for my photography (which I supplement with an attached Dell U2412m monitor) is about 20 years old and starting to show it's age. I'd like to replace it with a desktop (or under the desk) computer. I run Win10, and would like sufficient memory and hard disk size to not have to be concerned with processing speed and/or storage.

I have a Nikon D500 and Fuji X-T20, each with 2 batteries. Is that enough for the Inside Passage knowing I can charge them each night on the ship?
