Well Haze99, I really think that Bgenie has something against you. She is a hypocrite. There is a guy that has posted some photos in the same matter and called it Wet and Wild (which can be taken in different ways), yet she had nothing but positive comments on his. So, and I know you will not, dont loose any sleep over it. Your stats that you did say it all. Good job. That is the end of it.

I find it funny and very immature for some people to have to TAKE things from the internet to TRY and make their point. And never judge a book by its cover.

Keep up with what you are doing. They are excellent. Provocative, ummm, NO. They do not stimulate or excite me (by the way that is the definition,,,,, for some of you). Curves? Who said that the female form has to has curves? The female form, in any form, has been admired to photographers for many many years. There is nothing sexual here, at all. It is the smoothness and the curves, bends and gradual fading from light to dark on the skin that is appealing. The female form weather nude or non nude is an art form and always will be. Of course there are tastful ways and non tasteful ways. There is a line there. Maybe I should have taken offense to a photo of mine that I put up on another forum recently. It is acutally of a rock, the colors are red and orange. The comment that other pros expressed was that it was like two female bodies together or female form. My goodness I guess I should have put clothes on this rock so that people dont take it the wrong way. Ohh but wait these comments on mine photo was from open minded professional photographers that see photos not as a picture, but as an art, yes there is a huge difference. It is very easy. If you dont like it, dont look at it. There are photos that I see here and dont care for. But someone found their photo attractive in their own eyes (no matter what it may be), and I carry on and dont make anything of it. I think some people dwell on negativity.

A reply to the question that you asked and I have not seen answer to this yet. Your question about about being kicked off the local property. Well it looks like you were in the street. Is this a private drive or public street? If it is a public street, there is nothing the owner of the house can do. You can take a pic of anything you wish on public land. If it was on private property, there should have been a signed release from the property owner granting you permission to be there. Here is an example - If you wanted to shoot inside a restaurant and you were and the owner said not a problem. But after a while the owner says I dont want you here anymore, I think you are bothering my customers. Ok, so now you leave (as if you have a choice). But out on the sidewalk or road you see a shot of a couple thru the window that you think is great. YOU CAN take that shot (even if the owner comes out and says NO MORE PHOTOS). Well you are in a public area and on public land. What is able to be seen from the road, sidewalk etc. is the problem of the owner. You can still legally take the photos. May not give yourself a good name thou. I think I covered the basis on that. I am not a lawyer. This is information that I have done after much reading and studying. Cheers.

Ohhhh my goodness. I have read all the things that Bob has stated about him being bullied etc. I thought what a bunch of crap. Well, my opinion has now changed after reading that Bob hates the Gov. and Military and all the other comments that follow after that. If you two have issues, keep it off of here. Act like grown adults (the both of you), instead of this winny baby BS of he said etc. As I see it Bob you lost quite a bit of respect from quite a few people. Very sad. The both of you need to knock it off, NOW, Please and Thank you. And by the way I served in the Air Force from 92' to 96', was part of a forgotten war. Bosnia. After my active duty time, I served in the Air National Guard for a couple of years. Was a fire fighter in the military and continued as a fire fighter in the civilian world. Early retirement.

WOW very interesting. I will put in my 2 cents. And that is probably all it is worth but here it goes. Out in the field when I am setting up and getting everything in line, I am in a total concentration mode. I am constantly thinking of what other way can I do this my lighting etc. When I shoot, I dont take it lightly. So for someone to come right on in and ask me questions I find them rude. I am working at this moment. Now when I am done, I will turn around with a smile and answer any questions. To have a photo critqued you (IN MY OPINION)need and should have an open mind. Why else are you having your photo critiqued? I know that there is going to be some not so great comments. But hey, if I can learn from those comments then great. People have different styles and I like that. So to some all this up, Im not trying to be an butt in the field, I am just dedicated at that point (ask the misses, she just walks away or waits till I direct her, bless her heart, such a wonderful assistant) Cheers!

That is about the most dumbest thing I have ever seen, besides the tent pole tripod.

As the old saying goes "You get what you pay for". I have a 17-40mm Canon and love it. Distortion is little. Depends on what you shoot. Have to know how to use the lens and what it is good for and what it is not. Also colors are excellent. Glass is very good in this lens. Here is an idea for you. Before you make that purchase, rent that lens or equivelant to it. Then you get a decent idea.

Hi everybody! I'm planning a trip to Mexico in February and can't imagine not taking some of my better gear. But since I most certainly can't afford to replace my stuff, I'm a little nervous. Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on insurance for camera and lenses (particularly for theft)? I will not be checking my gear-I will carry it on the plane.

Be very careful doing this. Most insurance companies will not cover (even if they say they do). There are many loop holes for them and they know it. I do know and have read stories all the time about State Farm or Farmers and once you make a claim, they will drop you from the poicy. I have searched high and low and have found nothing here in the states that will cover. There is a company or two based out of Phoenix, Az I believe that this is all they do. BUT you will pay the price. It sucks b/c I do know that over in England and Australia they have insurance that you can get like this and it is fairly cheap. Unfortunately they will not deal with the US, already tried that as well. Good luck.
