I mean I ask people questions,"mostly photographers" And they have to always treat u like ur a piece of crap. And their God.
I mean I have ran into some decent photographers. But alot are twats. Just wandering what the heck crawled up their butt, and made them have a bad day. Any answers?

When I ask a question there's usually SOMETHING I can glean even from the most condescending "I'm brilliant and you're a piece of crap" answer. We can learn something from most everyone if we don't let the little idiosyncracies get in the way. If there's nothing there, just ignore it. Most people like to think they're better at something than all the rest of the world, and usually it has to do with how much the something cost.

I have never submitted a photo and never will.There is really alot of bashing going on between a few members here since I have joined.Life is hard enough people.

Don't let people spoil it for you. Post your photo and add text "No Critique Desired". that should be a polite hint that you don't want any critique, but that you are proud enough of the photo to share.

Seroiusly. Don't worry about the camera snobs. Every serious photographer that I have met has been nice. I know one that can be brutal if you ever ask him to critique your work, but he wont volunteer that critique. He is bluntly honest if asked to critique though, and so you have to know ahead of time before asking. And he's not on here.
Every photographer that I've met has been pretty decent. There are a few that feel they need to critique every photo that gets posted. Others choose to compliment or else just stay quiet if they aren't impressed.

Because people are human beings, with all their quirks, egos, foilbles, and prejudices. Some people are very helpfull, some not so. Besides you never know what is going on with people, just because they act like a jerk one time, you never know maybe their aunt matilda just died, maybe they just got a ticket, or where laid off, or their wife/husband just left them. The point is you don't know what circumstances people are under, if somebody snaps at you reply with kindness. You don't know what that might do, it could make them realize they are being a jerk, and in the end you might make a friend.

well, it dont matter if you are white, black, pink, yellow, or something in between, there's good folks and bad folks.
Same applies to photogs, film, cine, press, digital, B&W, colour, some good, some not so good.
Now in that mix their are a few that think they are a cut above the rest, whether they are or not.
There are some really great artists (and doctors) whose mannerisms really suck. But hey that is life.

also remember this is a forum, it's hard to judge someone's tone via a keyboard. If in doubt about the way they worded something ask.
I'll admit, I can totally be a camera snob, I love photography, I want to learn as much as I can, and I want to share the knowledge I have with others so they too can enjoy it. If I come off as being pushy or a know-it-all, it's not what I wanted. Just ask me...
on the other hand if someone asks for CC I WILL give my honest feedback... I'll tell them what I like about their image and what I don't like. What I think can be improved upon and how I think they can do it. I'm not one to say "hey that's great" unless I think it is great, how else does one improve? Being told you rock all the time doesn't help anyone.
