Hi everyone,
Attached is a list of darkroom equipment I'd like to get rid of somewhere other than in the trash. It's available FREE for just the cost of shipping. If you live in or near Massachusetts you can pick up whatever you want. I'm willing to part with any or all of it. Please take a look.
Thanks.

I would like the Saunders easel and the timer if it's still available

I lived therere for three years. It can be dangerous, as in any country some places are more dangerous than others. If your going into a tribe you are a little safer as what happens to you while there reflects on the tribe. Split your cash up in different pockets, when you come to a roadblock you can empty one of your pockets and tell them thats all you have. Just pay attention to whats going on around you

Are you going for a sing sing or one of the highland shows? If thats the case the biggest thing you will probably run into is theft at the show

One thing to think about, depending on what state you live in you are supposed to charge sales tax on any product including a cd or thumb drive. Thats why many photographers are having clients download their photos from a server, no physical product. Not that everyone is claiming it but if you get audited it could get ugly

If you are serious about shooting in raw you will be much better off getting the free capture one for sony and learning how to manipulate your images with a good program. You can then pay for the upgrade for the full program when you are ready to go futher. Or bite the bullet and subscribe to photoshop. As far as converting to dng it is just another unnecessary step in your processing. Personally I think capture one is a great program and the free program for sony users would be the best starting place for you

With film it's always b&w, I dont see the sense in shooting b&w with the ability to go either way with raw files with digital

You should't have any edge loss, when we do canvas we mirror off the edge of the print, how much depends on how thick the frame is, and it is the portion we mirrored off the edge that gets folded around the frame. There should be no edge loss at all

I think its very good sales maketing. That kind of resolution is beyond unnecessary but they will make you think you need it to sell cameras and lenses. It is very rare for me to need more than 12 mp and i print 16x24 regularly and often larger. The argument about needing more mp for cropping and editing kind of falls on its face when you have the reach of lenses and quality of processors we have today. They need to keep improve the quality of the processors and software, we have more mp then we need now

Canyon Falls just before you get into L'Anse on west side of US41. It is about an hour west of Marquette, google images of canyon falls for an idea of what you will be seeing. Lots of places for photo ops and a beautiful hike. One of my favorite places

I print with am Epson large format it will print up to 44 inch wide and not sure how long but the paper comes in 100ft rolls so i don't think that is an issue. The cost of ink is something to take Ingo consideration. I can't get second party ink for mine as of yet and a full set of 750ml ink cartridges is about 2700 bucks. That being said i will stick with Epson ink regardless, the longevity of the inks is one of the main reasons for the printer for archival and fine art printing. With second hand inks I couldn't claim that confidently. Also printers use different types of ink, some use dye ink and some use pigment ink. The dye ink printers are cheaper to operate but pigment ink has better longevity than dye ink. The Epson i use claims 200 years on color and 400 years on b&w, that is under certain cccguidelines of course

It depends on what media you want and if you want archival prints. There is a reason some of the printers are more expensive
