Presque Isle Park is a must see... Enjoy!!

As Marquette's recreational crown jewel, special attention is given here to Presque Isle Park. The popular regional facility is located on Presque Isle ("almost" an island), a 323 acre forested oval shaped headland/peninsula which juts into Lake Superior in the northern tip of the City. Presque Isle is known throughout the United States for its natural beauty.

Just got back from a week in the Marquette area. Presque Isle is a must, the Maritime Museum and lighthouse are also worthwhile subjects. A little bit further east, toward Au Train, is Lakenland Sculpture Park. Very quirky and creative.

North side of Houghton/ Hancock there are some interesting abandoned buildings and copper mines that are on my Yooper photo op bucket list ,to the east you have Tahquamenon Falls which is said to be the best falls in the UP ! BOND Falls to the west is beautiful and very easy to get to even from a wheelchair.

Shoot everything, decide later, thinking to much about one photo, you could loose out on another great shot! Bring lots of battery and cards, and wear the camera out!

If you travel north through Michigan, the straights of Mackinaw and the bridge are beautifull at dusk and dawn.
