I need to transfer a few videotapes to a flash drive as I want to play on my computer.
What company does the best job so as to render best resolution and audio preservation?
Thank you for recommendations and any suggestions to proceed in another manner.

I am incredibly lucky. Since my days in High School in the 1940s I have wanted a nice Model A Ford. For the most recent Christmas my son got me this one. It is a beauty. The Indiana BMV will validate an authentic 1930 plate for current use if I can find one. For that I am seeking your help. Google hasn’t been sufficiently friendly. I have searched Ebay and Etsy and I have registered my request with a business that calls itself a “license plate concierge”. So far no find.

Be sure to change the filter on your furnace. The dust from construction will fill the filter.
Our furnace (AC was in use constant) needed to be replaced as a result of filter

Thanks for the repair info. Even if I had a PC I would have no clue how to change any component. I go into a tachycardia every time I touch a pc. It is not an intuitive machine. I dislike files. I need visual icons

The new M1 MacBook Air and Pro have gotten rave reviews. You can buy the base model and do virtually anything with it. And don't forget about the Mac Mini - with the same M1 processor.

Unfortunately, Apple is leading the "No Right to Repair" brigade. The way you buy an Apple product is the way it remains until it has a problem. You cannot add or change internal components, and the options that Apple sells are very, very expensive. Only Apple can repair them, but they will tell you to buy a new one because the price of repair is so high. In my opinion (aside from the high price), this is one reason to look elsewhere. I have three Macs (from 2012), so I'm not a Mac hater. The 2012 models can be opened up, and components can be changed and upgraded, unlike the new Macs.

Windows computers offer more choices and a greater range of prices.

Some of the links below are old, but there should be enough info here to help.

I left Nikon as I felt I needed a Sherpa to haul lens camera and flash. Plus I like to be discreet and not “ out there” with all the gear.
So I started with Fuji XPRO1. Felt like the old film days
Then traded for Fuji XT 3
Smaller camera and lens. Film simulation options are outstanding. Couldn’t be more pleased.

I'm trying to determine the year of this photograph. A clue may be the car at the extreme right. You can just see the taillight. My best guess is a 46 Mercury. Any ideas?

Few things I find helpful

1. If possible beforehand ask that they not wear bright red, fascia, bold plaids, busy prints.
The more monochromatic the more you'd notice their faces than a distracting shirt color.

2. When they face you have them turn to a 3/4 position. The shoulder facing you should be dropped lower than the other shoulder.

3. Ask that they lean in slightly.Have them move their foreheads towards you (like turtle looking out of shell)
This reduces the double chin look.Tell them it will feel awkward and exaggerated. But it renders a good photo.

4. Julie Andrews once said, "Have everyone say MONEY, as they will have a nice smile which won't be as
fake as when saying CHEESE" It works every time.

5. Lastly,go to You Tube and google Peter Hurley. He has fantastic tutorials for portraits. The above tips were a take off of some of his tips.

I am in the same boat.
I hesitate to try any new program as I simply don't know the steps:
1. I have 80K images on 2 hard drives.
2. I have 15K on Aperture on my desktop
3. How do I transfer these images to a new system
4. How to categorize them in a new system?
5. If I think of the images on my HD as a catalogues of images, will they transfer without losing resolution
or quality?

I don't understand how this works.
6. Then how to delete the aperture icon etc without losing photos?

I need to hire someone or is there a step by step manual on how to do this?

Thanks to anyone who can guide me.

You state she is a nurse. The points made are by an ER physician. What is the name of that physician?
I'd like more details re: credibility of information, statistics etc.
Thank you
