Neatsfoot oil. Used it on old dried saddles and bridles for years.
I have even taken old dried out bridles and soaked them in the watering trough overnight and then dried them off and used the Neatsfoot oil.

Mink oil.

Film forced us to be "real" photographers.
The last step in crafting an image included the
mechanics of chemistry and light. We had to slog through the limitations of the craft.
Digital is so liberating that we almost cannot appreciate, or incorporate all the powers of erasing as quickly commirting our intent.

I planted a butterfly garden this year.
Perhaps next year it will reap rewards.

I was just reflecting today about the near impossibility of capturing incoming birds.

I too just purchased an RP.
This is my 5th digital since jumping back into the photo pool.
My last body was a 6D.
One thing the 6D COULD do was produce clean high ISO, low light images.
While not quite that level, I am shooting the RP up to 12800.
I read extensively about the body and was sure that I would immediately return it, based on the consistently bad image reviews.
I bought a 40mm f2.8 pancake lens and the result is a reinvention of a Leica M3 as far as a carry camera goes.
I throttled back on the programmed image enhancements, which I think is partially responsible for letting the sensor produce a reasonable image.
I am now carrying a camera everyday, again.

Find a used Tokina 100mm f 2.8 lens on eBay.
Vastly underrated.
No stabilization.
You'll be using a tripod anyway.

I rather enjoy the raw, natural background.
My brother has produced Japanese watercolors in panels of 27x42. I intend to display them on. natural wood crossections to highlight the drama of the substance.
Less is more.

Once upon a time, I collected Leica equipment first thing I did with any lens was open it to max f stop, point it directly unto the sun with a white cloth at its base and leave it out for a few hours.
One had to prevent the heat between element fractions from getting too hot ( bit of a black art) but, it always seemed to work.

I know that I will get pushback on this, but, Costco made very good 20x60 prints from my Canon T5i African shots in 2015. That's from a 20 megapixel APSC camera - no pixilation.
I still don't understand it.

I'd like the battery grip.

I have used them for my Africa shots.
They produce very nice 20x60 prints for $20.
Fuji paper.
I think poster weight.
20x30 are half that.

24-105 with image stabilization is all you need.
I've been there.
OCEA has not.
Don't step back.
Nothing like it.

I suppose my real question is:
Can 4k be achieved with the anti - aliasing screen doing its job.
I could care less about 4k.
I would just like to see the the screen gone.

I am eagerly awaiting the appearance of what may be called the Canon 90D.
A burning question.
If it has a new, denser sensor,
If it can capture 4k,
If it comes with a newer processor,
Will it necessitate the removal of the anti-aliasing screen for higher acuity when used in 4k?

Inquiring minds want to know.
(OK, maybe only I want to know).
