Last week we took a ride on the BRP south of Wilkesboro, NC. This was my 1st try with taking sunset pictures. I set out to take waterfalls, but we just ended up riding the parkway. I used a Canon 5D IV w/100-400 & 1.4 extender. I have not used photoshop. Just point & shoot. I did use a tripod.
I had noticed that there seamed to be less rabbits & squirrels running around. Saw this sitting in a tree in our front yard today.
1st off thank you for your service. Please keep posting pictures, It's good to see someone journey thru life.
That whole area is great for photos. Did you check out the smallest historic post office in America? I thinks its called Grimshawes. Its east of Cashiers at the base of Whiteside Mtn.
Great shots, I love seeing and taking street photography.
Nice shot. Can he Pitch? They could use another starter or two.
I waited almost 6 months to get mine from Canon. After I got it I found MPB. They sell used gear. It popped up 3 times in 2 weeks.
Thanks for the information. I just got a 12mm to place between my 1.4 & 2.0 extender. Never thought about using it on my 100mm macro.
I have never like a tripod didn't want to carry it around....until this past Christmas. Then I went to the local park and gave it a try. Now I keep it attached to my backpack. There are so many more things I can get now that I couldn't before. About 1/2 of my woodland photography I do with a tripod. No flash, F/stop 8-11, ISO between 100/400. Not the greatest but my 1st time shooting at night.
I started with a T2-i, used it for a couple years. It was a nice little starter. But I just couldn't get the shots I wanted so I moved up to a Canon 7d I. Loved it. I used it mostly for sports, landscaping, & some low light. Got a couple low end off brand lens. After few years I felt I was still missing on some photos. Upgraded to the Holy Trinity lens (not all at once), Then a 50mm 1.4 & later 100mm Macro. Then a few years ago I purchased a 5D IV, its by far the best upgrade I've done. I now mess around with all kinds of photograph. I still miss on some shots but nothing like I was before. My point is I have upgraded over the years as I can afford it, but my camera upgrade has been by far the best of them. The full frame made a huge difference. Lens make a big difference get the best glass that you can afford. And go have some fun.
From my daughters High School softball game
I when to a horse show this past weekend and just happen to take some black & whites.
Flowers, bugs, bubbles, sticks, leaves, ice, almost anything that I can point a camera at and say "take a look at this, isn't it cool." I enjoy taking pictures, its a form of stress relief.
