Thank you for your replys. I'm looking for a process that will convert my lat/long into a location that can be added to my EXIF data for each of my picture files. Does anyone know of such a process or app that will do this?

I just purchased a Micnova GPS-N PLUS device to get lat/long EXIF data onto my Nikon D750 picture files. It works fine; but it does not provide a location. Is it possible to convert this data to a location like City, State and then load that onto the EXIF data for that picture? If yes, please recommend how to do that. Thanks.

I see you visited BOK Tower. I live a few miles from there. In the Spring the flowers at BOK Tower are beautiful.

I visited both a few years ago. For walking around I would take the 24-120 f/4. It gives you a wide spectrum for most shots. Do some homework on night photography because some of settings are wonderful. If you have a longer lens like a 300mm or 400mm I would also consider bringing. There are many great photographic opportunities. Hope the weather is with you. If it is the shots will be priceless, at least for you.

Fotoartist: Your picture is outstanding, but I understand how to use fill flash as I implied. My question was what manual settings do I use when I have to use flash.

There are many replies and I have to digest them. Thanks all for the help.

I have a Nikon D750 and I like to shoot in manual mode. However when I need a flash, for other than fill mode, I get confused with the light meter. Can anyone recommend an article or a book so that I can get a better understanding of how to setup my camera for the best results in dark settings. If I up ISO so that the meter reads correctly and use a flash I wash out the picture. I'm missing a concept and hope that someone can help. Thanks in advance.

I have the D750 and the Tamron 150-600 G2 lens. I recently went to South Africa and took some amazing shoots of wildlife and birds in FF. Yes, I did crop, some significantly, but my 11X14 canvas pictures came out very good, in fact I would say excellent.

Suggestion: Increase the shutter speed to at least 1/1250. Your pictures will come out much sharper.

I live in a 55+ community in Florida and know a number of woman who have lost their husbands. They would love to meet a man who is caring and respects a woman as your friend obviously does. Rather than go to a third person I would suggest that your friend ask her what are her wishes for the future; does she see or wish for another man in her life. Based on her answers, he will know without committing himself. Hope this helps. Good luck and God Bless.

Thank you all for your recommendations. I am using a Nikon D750. I will try again this evening and see what happens. Again thanks.

I was just out trying to get the Pink Moon for April. I was disappointed in that the pictures were not sharp. I did shoot at high ISO, 12,800 and 1/4000 shutter speed, aperture was 6.3, minimum for lens, Tamron 150-600 at 600mm. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I suspect that the ISO is too high and caused some grain; but I also believe it is more than that, so any help is welcome. I was using a tripod with delayed shutter release. I did not turn off Vibration Reduction, which could cause some of this softness; but I don't think this much..

The Circle Bar B Preserve is in Lakeland, FL off of State Route 540, South of the intersection with US 98. If you live near, it is worth the trip. One of the better trails is however closed due to the hurricane last Fall. The trail that I was on is about 3 - 3.5 miles. It was tiring, but doable. Don't wait too much longer as the temperature and humidity will be increasing dramatically in the near term. After May 15th until Oct 15 the temperature and humidity will be 90+/90+. Best time is early morning.

Alligator Alley is still closed. With matting season approaching, it may not open until the summer (my guess).
