I just acquired a samsung NX 300 with 18 - 55 and 24-200 lenses. tried it out on a visit to Augrabies Falls. Decided to only take this camera to force me to use it rather than my 5d MK III. I was very impressed with the performance of this system particularly in low light. will be very useful for street photography.
Lovely picture. I would have preferred it without the green in the water. it tended to distract me.
I agree wow. What processing did you do?
never seen these before-how wonderful. like the first very much. would like to see an enlargement of the face - a portrait - maybe in B&W
would love to know how you did this!!!
Ok took the Tamron (alias Tampon) back and got the Canon. Compared the sharpness of the two at the shop. Incomparable.
Sincere apologies. I sent the text via my cell phone which corrected Tamron to.Tampon......and I did not edit the text. I am trying to get back to an edit menu so that I can correct it to Tamron but cannot locate the edit button. can anyone advise? Again my apologies.
Martin
Any views on the tampon 24-70? I have just got one and am a little concerned with the focusing. Has anyone else any concerns?
The fireman sits recovering. the blaze reflects on his helmet and side of his face. his gaunt face and stare depict the scenes that he has witnessed.
Out of 100ds of photos which i took at a heavy metal festival in South Africa called Ramfest I would appreciate comments on the following two. The first from a band called Infanteria - some real head banging, and the second, of the lead singer from Biffy Cyro- although out of focus, somewhat, I like this one. You cannot control the light as you cant use flash-possibly a good thing as the colours are interesting
Infanteria
Lead singer of Biffy Cyro

Oh yes! That's much better. How did you mimic hair lights?
Thank you all so much for the feedback. It was very useful. The young man was a teenager wanting a picture for his social media and was fun to shoot.
I use canon and the equivalent 50 mm 1.8 lens for portraits. I like it ( and the 85mm) for portraits in preference to the 35mm and smaller mm lens because I get less distortion. I also use a 24mm for landscapes. if price is an object then I would agree with Flyfishn the 35mm is a good all rounder
