The D750 or D800e fit my budget.

My needs don't require high resolution detail. The 2 MB file size relates to storage concerns at work. I pay for off-site backup (including emergency restore service) and thousands of images needed for archives add up.

For my artistic needs, I have the 5D-SR and a 5D MKIV and don't take time to enjoy them.

The 'freeze' of the wings relates to the electronic flash (dominant light sources) duration--about 1/1000th second or so. 1/250 shutter would not freeze the wings as we see them. The wings would appear as a blur.

Here's 1/750th available light. Canon 600 mm pre-focused--and cropped from the full frame.

In one 3.5 hour effort pre-focused on the area in front of the feeder, it took me 400 images to get one nearly as good as yours.
