Is it me or my age, I am not a big user of Facebook but tend to look at it from time to time and people have a tendency to put the dumbest things on it such as having breakfast at, having lunch at, or having a glass of wine at, I do believe these people have no life or just need to tell everyone what they do on a a daily basis. Please tell me is it just me.
It's not just you. I personally don't want to know where people are at every second of the day.

YOU ARE ON TO US........OH CRAP !
I totally agree. However, I do use Facebook to catch up with friends whom I do not see often and to know what's going on in their lives. I rarely post except when I post a new image to my website.
It’s not you.
All that I use Facebook for is to automatically promote the blog. Frankly, I am not interested in its chatter.
I’m sure that my age comes into it! 😅
I know several that do exactly that which I believe is because they want attention or they think themselves to be important.
I like whatever people post on Facebook for family and friends, but when it becomes a platform to push something, I don't like it.
It isn't just you. I see some people posting 2 or 3 times/day. Friends, but I don't need to see a picture of somebody's dog every day.
Glad it's just not me, I was getting a complex LOL
We're old and like using FB. It keeps us in touch with distant friends and relatives, none live close. Lots of nonsense to wade through but to us it’s worth it.

I closed my FB account last year after so many year in it! It doesn't make any sense to expose the privacy
of yourself and your family to every body whom you have not even known! You will become a easy target to the scammer!
This kind of drivel began with the "sharing is caring" social movement, appealing to the lowest common denominator. Ergo, we all have feelings and should air them for consumption by others. Mere dialog trumps content.
This movement runs counter to intellectualism wherein others think before they talk, and try to have a point to their conversation. Or as my Southern friends used to say, "Engage brain before opening mouth."
The social app "Facebook" presents an extreme expression counter to the traditional social view of keeping things to oneself and of talking when one has something worthy to say.
As well, FB functions as a time-waster for the idle.
FB does, however, offer a platform for a business to advertise its wares and its services. Celebrities, politicians, influencers, and suchlike as attention whores populate FB for their own ends.
This citizen has found a use for FB because an account with FB enables the user to submit comments to news reports and narratives online.
Finally, this citizen understands that people like to communicate. FB (and other Web-sites similar to it) thrives by providing an avenue for conversation planet-wide regardless of location.

I use Facebook solely to put my favorite pictures in Facebook albums. These are then displayed on my wife's Facebook portal which is on our kitchen counter. The rest of FB I don't bother with, ever. I like this because I do all my photo work on my desktop PC and it's super easy to just upload the ones I want to Facebook albums, then, they will immediately be included in the portal slideshow, which runs 24-7 whether my PC is on or not. The screen is around 10" and is super quality. Very enjoyable.

Some people would put this post in the same class.
