An absolutely beautiful shot! Where in Western NC was it taken?
Absolutely beautiful shoots. Really liked Frosty Trees. I live about 7 miles from the AT is western Maryland and have hiked portions. Please tell your lovely wife congrats and remember - Sometimes we must look not how far we have to go but how far we've come. Cheers!
Great shot, Regis. The colors are stunning and the eye is drawn to the angler. Great vantage point. Were you on an overhang or a cliff to get it?
Wonderful series, Angler. I'm envious.
That's the view its prey wants to see! A most unusual perspective. Thank you! :D
Spectacular shots! I've always been partial to cardinals and your shot is great. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful shot. Thank you for sharing it.
All are wonderful! The last chaffinch and sparrow are my favorites.
Beautiful. The life in the eye adds tremendously. What were you using to get the shot?
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
I was in the same basic situation. Owned a Canon AT-1 with a 24 wide angle, 500 mirror and a couple of zooms. Didn't use it for years and finally gave it away. Recently tired of the point and shoot decided it was time to get back into serious photography. Picked up a D3100 before Christmas. Absolutely love it. Got the standard 18-55 and the 55-200. A great way to return to DSLR. Take a little time to experiment and just play with it. It will amaze you.
