Here's an oddball thing I encountered in LR Classic. It appeared that I had accidentally selected all photos and overwritten the keywording for every photo in the database with the same single word. I was expecting to have to restore from catalog backup. But, I closed LR, then relaunched, and all was well. Has anyone else experienced this?

You are a lucky one!
Whereas a simple Ctrl+Z (undo) would have worked quicker, and safer

All of my definitions must explain the genus and the differentia of any concept I define. My genus's รณf any given concept being defined explains what group a given concept falls into. My differentiae of any given concept being defined separates out the concept from all others in their group.
The genus of the photographic concept "Green Zone" is a photographic technique that narrows the digital range of exposure of a given image to the middle range to afford the most detail possible to the number of pixels recorded.
The differentia of the photographic concept "Green Zone" involves,
(1) placing your modern camera on full auto whereby the camera chooses the ideal aperture, shutter speed and ISO for a given location and lighting situation to maximize details.
(2) adding additional light making the finest detail possible through techniques like fill flash in order to be able to create images at a low ISO to avoid digital "noise" that distracts from enjoying fine details.
(3) always recording images in RAW files as opposed to JPEG etc. so as to capture the maximum number of pixels available for a given exposure range to allow maximum capturing of the image details available to edit with a program like Photoshop or Lightroom.

Adobe recently put out an update with a new noise reduction feature in ACR. I'm wondering if anyone else has tried it and what your thoughts are if you have. I've been using it and I think I like it but the improvement is subtle (in my opinion). With that said, most of my shots lately have been accomplished at a low ISO so there has not been a lot of noise to eliminate. I did try the "search" button first with no luck (as usual).

It is absolutely phenomenal!!!
I hear a lot of people have issues with lack of speed. Most images I have used it on have taken from 20 to120 seconds.
I would use it all day, hands down over the other denoise products

Absolutely the worst change Costco has ever made. They had great services with excellent delivery options all at affordable cost.
Shutterfly for me is not a viable option. After many years and thousands of prints done by Costco, I will be returning my print business to Bay Photo Lab. Consequently, my pricing will increase accordingly.
Thank you Costco, for a good run.

I have a question primarily for UHH'ers who own a Canon R-series camera. I'm again considering purchasing a Canon R7 with the 18-150 kit lens, planning to add some lenses in the future. However, I have been using a Canon 7d Mark II for some time, and have 7 EF-class lenses I use with it. All are about 10 years old. Here are the details on the lenses (plus a set of extension tubes):

Canon EF 50MM f/1.4 Ultrasonic
Canon 70-200mm EF f2.8 L IS II USM
Sigma 10-20mm DC HSM
Sigma 150-500 mm f5/6.3 APO DG OS HSM
Tamron 90mm Macro Di SP AF f/2.8
Tamron 18 - 270mm Di II f/3.5 - f/6.3
Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 DI VC USD
Kenko Set of 3 extension tubes - 12mm, 20mm & 36mm

I know these will physically fit on the R7 if I purchase one of the adapters Canon sells. But will they actually work with the camera? That is, are there some functions of the R7 that won't work with the 2 Canon lenses? Will the R7 even recognize the 3rd-party lenses? If so, will there be function limits? Will the extension tubes work? I'd appreciate any experiences or advice you can share.

All of my EF lenses work with my EOS-R flawlessly. They actually work better in some ways with the R.

There was no change in exposure. Everything stationary looks the same in each image. My guess is slight movement of the bird caused variations in the way light reflected off the feathers.
